Hello all. I'm a Mtl vapor looking for a solid Box mod. Don't really need temp control but ok if it's included. I usually cape between 10 and 15 watts prefer single 18650. Have an evic mini that had been good besides the battery door magnets coming off here recently.

Essentially what I'm looking for is a rugged (almost like an otter box for iPhone) box mod and don't need any bells and whistles. Single 18650 would be optimal. Thanks in advance for your help and recommendations!

For ruggedness look at the Heatvape invader mini, 50w, does TC and I picked up a couple just a bit ago for $10ea! Caveat, I'm not terribly impressed with the runtime I get from them!
Dovpo made the ELVT that goes to 12w and have a new version that's smaller that does 50w?, it looks like the heatvape.
Those are the "Otterbox" mods I know of, but honestly most of the newer mods are pretty durable. I've had my eleaf Pico bounce off of concrete a few times and it's still plugging along fine.

I'm impressed with the IPV D3 it has a solid feel and it is very easy on batteries compared to other mods I have. I also have an IPV D2 which has a solid feel but the paint is not very durable. My D2 still looks good after 8 months of use but only because I use the silicone sleeve that came with it.

I use both of these mods daily so they get a lot of use. By the way the D3 doesn't come with a silicone sleeve and after more than 4 months it still doesn't have any scratches on it despite being in my pocket quite often with keys and change.

I've seen the IPV D3 on sale for under $40.00.

I hope you find what your looking for.

I have four Kanger K Boxes - the original 40w model. They are simple solid and have a bit of heft to them. They use single 18650 batteries and have excellent battery life.

They are basic - you can only increase the wattage - your settings are shown with 7 green LEDs as is your battery life. Settings available are 8, 13, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 watts; there are no interim steps.

Mine go travelling with me are shoved into pockets and have been dropped and still go on.

I got mine from Heaven Gifts at one of their sales and from memory I think they cost around $15.00 US max inc postage.

Ola X Hero 30, Cloupor Mini 30 or Cloupor Mini+ (ups the max power and adds TC). All are single 18650. The Ola is a bit heavier, but I think you could drive over it and only damage the topper that was on it. :)
Great little (heavy) mods, those Heroes, and the last time I checked, Discount Vapor had them for under $20. WE'LL worth that and more.

Tough? Quite! [emoji106]
