have you been worried about plugging in your usb passthrough into your computer in fear of over powering your usb port. Have you had trouble finding a wall plug in usb adapter over 1 amp. I think I found a solution but to do this your going to have to have a fundemental knowledge of electronics a fore warning wire this wrong and youll have a dead computer !!!!!!!!!!! So lets get to it I was in the same boat so I started to do some searching and remembered that a molex 4 pin adapter in most every computer has a 5v connection with 5 amps so went out and got a usb connecter then went forth by cutting off the plug that would normally go in to your motherboard as a transfer hub. I then blocked off all the unused wire with black tape the wires you will are the red (5v+) line and the black (ground) line then I soldered the points to the molex adapter also to the red and use the black line directly next to the red dont connect it to the yellow line as its 12v+.I just used a molex adapter i had laying around and vaula safe 5v vaping through a passthrough at home. I stress this again dont do this if you dont know what your doing. I know it looks a little rigged up but I used quite a bit of to tape to safely protect against shorting out. There is probably a better way to do this but I wanted to see if it would work as I thought it would. Hope this helped someone out there
