Hmm.. I found some threads on the Evic forum but looks like it's all now in archives. Anyways, guess this is the next best place to ask. I've been researching long and hard for my next device and I've narrowed it down to a few and the Evic is one of them. If I were to get one, I would use the 18350 tube so it looks smaller. My question is, can I charge the 18350 battery using the micro USB cord internally or would I have to take it out and use a separate charger with it? Also, what is the battery life like on the 18350? And how can I tell if the Evic is the older revision or the newer version (something about 2 screws?)?

Also.. what are your thoughts on Evic VS Zmax Mini? That was my other choice but the Evic looks nicer to me and I like the option to charge via micro USB. Thanks.

The USB connector is in the control head, not in the battery tube ... so yes, you can charge any 18xxx battery that you have a battery tube for. I don't know how long smaller batteries will last. I only use the 18650.

Mine is the old version; got it when they first came out. There is something about there being two screws in the newer version but I don't recall where they are ... can just tell you that I don't see any screws in mine and it has been problem free for over a year.

Compared to the Zmax, on the eVic you can set watts in .1 increments compared to .5 increments on the Zmax -- you can see watts, ohms, volts, and the remaining battery percentage on the eVic all at the same time. I've tried lots of devices and I look around every week for something newer and/or better than my eVic, but I haven't found anything. If it broke today, I would buy another eVic.

Version 2 has 2 screws near the base of the 510 connector.

Check out these recent posts on the eVic.

The 18650 2600 mAh battery lasts me 2 days, the 18650 3400 mAh battery last 2.5 days and I vape 3 to 5 ml per day. I would estimate the 18350 to run less than a full day of vaping but thats just a guess.

You can charge the 18350 through the usb cable but I find it easier to use a separate charger so I am not tethered to my laptop while charging.

If I only intend to use the 18350 size, would it be more cost efficient to just get the v2 head, get some 18350 batteries, and the smaller body? And I guess some flat rings for the top of it so it can look flush with certain tanks(kayfun)? I have plenty of micro usb cords so that's taken care of.

That would definitely work.

There is wide choice of colors for the 18350 tubes.

Once you decide how you want to configure it let me know if you are having trouble finding the separate pieces and I'll post some links for you.

You will need the usb cable to charge if you plan on going that way. the usb cable also lets you use MVR software and download firmware updates.

I remember when you spent so much time agonizing over you MBV juice order. I hope this choice goes the way you want it to.

The evic is one of the few battery tubes that caters to onboard charging; you dont have to take the battery out to charge.

So far it's also the only one you can plug into your pc and actually configure from your pc instead of fiddling with tiny buttons and screen; and upgrade firmware on it! coooooooooooooool

Lmao, yea I'm super indecisive. I have the usb cords (same one for Android tablets and phone right) I just need everything else. Where is the cheapest place I can find a v2 head or kit? Are the Efest or AW batteries better? And what ring should I get for the Kayfun tank to look flush? Also.. where can I find some cool looking tubes? I found some generic colored ones on eBay but that's about it. Thanks!
