One spot I read daily starting out was the Ask The Veterans section. The titles of the posts are usually very descriptive, and are answered with one or two well written, thought out responses. I perused the threads for advice, what to try next, why my stuff wasn't working (but it did for everyone else...).

There's a lot of specific information without off topic posts, and the "but, I like xyz better" posts, and conflicting advice. When you start reading posts and think "but it works better for ME, if I...." you've graduated....

All this confusion/disagreement about an appropriate nicotine strength is easily solved: When you find a flavour you like in the vape shop simply buy 2.4% and 1.2%, and when you get home you can mix to required strength with no need for complex mathematics. Even if you can't use the 2.4% you can get some 0% when next there, and therefore not waste it.

Yep mixing different nic levels can get you where you need to be but I think thats a bit much to ask of a new vaper. A lot of good B&M stores will add nic to your juice if you need it. My local b&m will add to juice you bring in for a few cents per bottle. I've also seen some custom makers that will make a low nic blend and provide extra nic juice so you can add it yourself if needed. Again though for a new vaper that would add some hassle they may not like when starting out.

[/B]DOn't throw out your analogs right away and rely soley on vaping. There is a learning curve when you start out and some differences from smoking that take some getting used to. Unless you get a cigalike unit the technique is totally different and closer to cigar/pipe smoking than cig smoking. How you transition is just as important as the transition itself and that is different for everyone so there may still be times when only that cig will do. IF all you can do is replace ONE of your daily analogs with vaping for a while then that is still a small success in the right direction.

This isn't an all in one solution. I spent one day with my analogs and a lookalike then I went straight to an eGo-type vape. It has worked perfectly for me. I started with a very high nic content to replace my very strong self rolled habit and it worked for me. There appears to be no one answer that is the same for everyone, but perhaps say that what you suggested is one option. Granted, I have experience smoking cigars as well, so that might have made the difference. And with the cigalike I tried it was woefully inadequate as a replacement. But I went with an inexpensive disposable, as I knew I was going with the Vapage UTURN 1300 a day or two later.

I too am new to the scene. I have been sans analog for almost a week. I live upstairs and I can already tell the difference climbing the stairs. I tried once before but failed. I'm pretty sure that as long as I have juice, I will succeed. Honestly, I have no cravings for a cigarette, even though everyone around me smokes. I did the first couple of days but that seems to be gone now.

Though, I DO CRAVE my Itaste EP quite a bit. Using 18mg/ml tobacco flavor.

Thanks for the post bro, much appreciated.
