some help/advice with using cotton please

Hi All

been vaping for a few months now and haven't gone near an analogue since which is great but having a few issues with cotton wicks

after some testing and a lot of reading i landed on the setup below which has worked for me so far (not sure if there is a problem with mentioning clone vaping gear on ECF, if so i apologise)

hcigar nemesis clone
hcigar taifun gt clone for everyday 2 ohm coil
vicious ant cyclone afc for different flavours 2 ohm coil
18650 efest imr batteries
evolv kick2 set to 8 watts estimate

now the wattage gives the taste and heat i am happy with, put this in for a bit of safety as i am out and about a lot and prefer a mechanical over a vamo or provari type setup just so i can tinker with it when the mood takes me, but generaly the kick is in there

i am also using cotton on both devices as i prefer it over silica. boiled and dried before use

my problem is that at times it feels like there is something in my throat or it is closed over a little, after a few sips of water it seems to go. i dont get this all the time in fact it is very uncommon and may be linked to the flavour i am using but i have not done enough testing of this theory

example been vaping ms lords kendal mint cake through the gt for a few days with no issue and refilled the tank today with ms lords seville marmalade and after vaping i have got this feeling, drunk a bit more water and it dies down.

im wondering if anyone else has had something similar and knows if it is to do with the cotton ( not wicking properly, too much moisture or something else), maybe flavour or pg/vg reaction? or some other reason. it may just be not enough water at times.

any advice gratefull, other than this occasional annoyance im loving vaping and am eager to learn more to improve the experience if i can

That ^^ or to much cotton.

Did you change the wick in between the flavor change from mint cake to marmalade? If not - disregard this thought lol- if so - I figured out when I was using to much cotton like this. If I wick it with to much, I dont know how to describe it other than it is the driest feeling in the history of ever in my mouth and throat, it is also instantly gone with a little water and does not occur with a lesser amount of cotton.

both nic levels are the same and i was a bit lazy and did not change out the wick between flavours. thanks for the suggestions Ill bear them in mind though for the future

just thinking it may be the flavouring. just realised i like it because it tastes like the cordial drinks used to have as a kid and the orange used to make me a little weazy if it was too strong so im wondering if this has something to do with it now
