Good Morning

I have been vaping for about a month now but I am having a hard time findings e-liquids that I like. I think part of my problems is delivery systems as well as the e-liquid. I'm sure this sounds confusing and I hope I can explain it well and get some ideas.

Here is what I have tired:

Dripping - I get a burnt taste and funny after taste

Blank cartridges - same funny after taste

Clearomizers. - a bad after taste

I have cleaned the atomizers and clearo's and still get the same taste.

This is happening with every e-liquid I try and it is such a horrible taste. As of right now I am only able to vape one flavor from a mall shop that is so expensive. I have a bunch of sample favors I really want to try.

Here is what delivery systems I have maybe one of these would be better?

Phoenix Clearomizer
Vivi Mini Nova
Catomizers
Atomizers
Blank carts
Clearomizers

This is all being used with an Ego-C twist.

Thank high for listening to my rambling and help.

It sounds as simple as you are using to much voltage for the resistance accessory your using. Unfortunately unless you have a ECD meter or a oscilloscope you have no way to test the voltage of the twist. Probably the best way to figure it out is with a clearomizer as its the most forgiving. Start at one take a puff keep doing this till you have desired vapor and flavor as you move the voltage up. Ive never had a twist so I dont know much about them. But you get burnt taste for two reasons Dry hits your burning the filler material, wick, ect... not enough juice or to much Voltage your burning the wick, filler material and the juice.

Hi Pinkpirate,

I'm sorry you're having these troubles. I went through a bunch of problems myself but this forum has really helped and educated me. I would try some Vivi Novas .. They get so many mixed reviews but for newbies and experienced alike I think they are great and soooo easy. Cartotanks are also what I use. The tanks are only a vessel to hold your juice. The carto is everything so get some good cartos! I like Ikenvapes. Get the prepunched ones ( laser drilled holes) no distortion. Also there are so many juice vendors out there. Look in e liquid forum and see top five vendors .. You should try those get lots of samples from these vendors as most samples are pre steeped and ready to vape. It's an inexpensive way to try a lot of juices. Gl and keep vaping .. There's quite a bit if learning curve to vaping but keep at it .. I'm learning everyday it's fun for me and I'm still chasing my perfect vape!

correct. ur voltage plays a major roll in taste. I have a twist the voltage wheel is pretty darn accurate. Also pay attention to the ohms resistance on the cartos ur using. 1.8 ohms @ 3.7 volts is pretty good IMO 2.4 ohms giod at 4.2 volts IMO. I'm sure someone will chim in with some kind of ohms to voltage ratio chart :) buzzloves recommendation sounds good

I get the same problem with my atomizers as well, 4 or 5 drops and I only get one or two decent hits then the dry burn. Got an RBA (Vision Eternity) and it works great, leaked at first but I figured out how to avoid that and it hasn't leaked in a week. RBAs are not an easy thing of course, having to rebuild coils, and if you don't have equipment to check the resistance...yeah might not be for you. BUT, if you do have a meter, or can get one, you can learn to build a coil now just with the same ease and learning curve as months from now. It's all a process. The nice thing about the Vision RBA I have, is that it holds a bunch of drops, not the 40 they claim unless you want leaking issues, but 20 to 25 pretty easily when completely dry, and I just top off with another 5 to 10 every half hour to an hour. Great vapor, great flavor.

Here's that Power chart (ideal voltage settings by resistance of your coil) mentioned by Billy above. Stay in the green and hopefully that will help.

Most for the Juices are from Heather's Heavely Vapes. I have tried Peanut Butter Cookie, Pirates Booty, Angel Kiss, and Caramel Capachino. Those are all samples and she does those at 12mg 70/30. Also I have tried some from Halo and Desert Vapes.

So you get the same result from all 3 vendors juices. You mentioned that you had one single juice that you did not have this happen, which flavor and nic, pg/vg ratio is it? Is it from one of those 3 vendors?

It's such an odd problem. I'm leaning towards perhaps you have a sinus infection/allergy that could be affecting your sense of taste. You could try some flavorless nic juice, which is rather pleasant tasting.
