Look it up, there were a few germans that were replacing EGO T wicks with SS mesh and it worked great. My german is rusty as hell but it was enough to get me through the vid. Dan like the other put me on the list and if you need help with anything let me know. I will start praying I win that at vapestock :p.

Dan, glad you're back to perfecting the Scubagen, I thought that was the way to go, twice the wick and quick disconnect on the coil wire should be great! I'm using your SS mesh wick mod on my ce2 tank mods and the taste and vapor production are very good but soldering the coil wire is a real pain. The first two or three I did was no problem but now I can't get the solder to stick to the nichrome to save my life! Please count me in on four or five if the co-op happens, it would be so nice not to have to solder the nichrome, it drives me crazy! You do great work and give so much to this community and I thank you!

Robert

Well, I think I have solved my problem with my hybrid. I may at some point regret it, but as of right now....I'm ok with it.

The mod bug got to me....instead of messing with the switch and rebuilding all the time....I just eliminated that part. I cut the switch housing off, drilled a hole in the center for a 510 atty connection, soldered my silver wire to the connector, and filled it in with " drinking water safe" JB Weld. Now all I have to do is wait for it to cure, put it together, fill it up, and hook it to one of my mods and I should be good to go! (Wasn't very easy without a tool bench or anything but a drill, a dremel, and pliers.)

I hate I don't have my hybrid now :( , but I think I will be ok if this works as it should and my genisis is hitting every time with no worries!

To prevent this I cover the leads with heat shrink everywhere except where the coil wires connect, where the positive lead s soldered and where the negative lead needs to contact the switch housing.
Now I use for insulatoin a tubes removed from thermoresistant wires (taken from a halogen lamp wiring). I thought about a heat shrink, but I am afraid of a smell. What is your experience - is any heat shrink thermoresistant enough, or we need something special?

That is nice work Sturm.
Is this is going to be a for sell item or co-op? If so I'm going broke fast! And I'm in...
Except for slow wicking my Genesis has been operating for a week now and I want to thank everyone in this and Riadys thread. These things are great!
Thank you all! :vapor:

Sturm, looks great. We don't need an ear stick for this one though, right?

Slimest, I use PBF and PTFE tubing, and as long as it isn't actually touching the heating wire (~1mm distance) there is no change from heat exposure and the chemical resistance from liquid is great too.

Riddle, glad you got it to a point of satisfaction, that is what counts- may the mesh be with you :)
