yeah, the ELA is a good all in one mod, cant argue that.

People capitalize on the Caravela and sell for over twice the cost.... its ridiculous.
List is full... all 999 spots, but a list is being opened up at the end of the summer, to fill in spots for those who drop out of the pre-order list...

Probably for the best. Once the ELA is in hand I'll be in good shape for awhile. If nothing else it'll let me know if I like mechanical vaping as much as I like regulated.

If you get into rebuildables, mechanicals will do well for you.

how far can you crank the provari on your dripper, and how many ohms did you get out of that coil?

Current wire of choice... 30 awg Kanthal A-1.
Depending on my mood (and my willingness to break out the multimeter), I tend to wrap my coils between 1.4 and 1.8 ohms.
At those resistances... I have the Provari set from 4.6 to 4.8 volts... Pretty much pushing it to 14.5 watt limit. You can actually cheat the limit with 1.4 ohm coil @ 4.6 volts... But... Any fluctuations in the coil and "E2" starts rearing its ugly head. I usually shoot for 1.5 to 1.6 ohms.

28awg... The Provari can't push enough power to heat it up.

My biggest concern with mechanical... I've gotten very accustomed to starting and ending a battery at the same voltage. Not convinced that I'll enjoy the voltage drop.
2nd concern... Being able to feel when it's time swap batteries. I love my Flukes, but they aren't exactly convenient to carry around... I have visions of draining batteries too far...

when the voltage drops to 3.5-3.7v, vapor production is minimal to none... and it is still well above a lithium cells minimum of 3.0v
bellow 3v it wont charge.

to be honest, the voltage drop is so gradual, you wont even notice it.
If you get an 18650 mod, it will take you almost two days worth of vaping to go from 4.2v to 3.8v....

But this is coming from a person who prefers mechanical mods, so i may be a bit biased.
it is worth noting, that once i got into low ohm vaping, i havent used my Kick. i like my 0.8ohm coils :D

The kick just seems counter productive. The ProVari can put out way more power than the Kick, by a fairly wide margin. I'm interested in a mechanical device because there are things the ProVari can't do. I don't see any point in limiting a mechanical to do less than what I currently have.

If your only device is mechanical and you're using off the shelf attys, the Kick makes more sense than buying a new regulated device... but... I've already got regulated devices.

LOL, get real. Do you actually vape it or just hold it in your hand?

The very popular Xtar and Nitecore have no problem charging batteries below 3V.

My apologies if i dont live to your standards of vaping :?:
I have my chain vaping moments, but on a normal day, i go through about 1000mAh.
My life doesnt revolve around vaping.

yes that is true, i personally have been able to fully charge batteries with just over 1 volt. but that took some effort with tweaking my chargers setting. But it's still not good advice to give on a forum, where people are constantly mis-interpreting information. So i stayed on the safe side.
But that is not something that is capable with the chargers you have mentioned....

Lithium cells don't like to be pushed to low voltages. they last longer if you keep them above 3.0v.

Got some inspiration from some of the stuff pdib is doing with the ceramic wick...
Here is the micro-gen with a ceramic wick.

wish i had the skills to build something like that.... any way you would build one for me?

We might we able to work something out...
I just looked up the PiculiSci... I'd actually be very interested in having an impartial 3rd party give 'em a head to head "Pepsi Callenge".

gonna be interesting to rebuild this atty with my fat fingers when i need too. love this little thing. I couldn't find any English language vids so i made one :D
Somehow saying "works good and pretty good atty, I like it" hardly needs an 'English language vid'.

Looking at your vid I had no clue what that thing actually was or how it compared to the OP's.

This may help folks understand the design and differences.

Seems to be based on Inchbines design from a few years ago.

Pardon my 2am in the morning video... I didn't know it offended you. Please forgive my improper use of English at that time. Had I known that years in the future, after my free public education. That I would be so lacking for you to make such a degrading comment. But hey you have 3600+ posts and I am but a fledgling ECFer. I hope this point that you made, makes you a better and smarter person in life. I should have said, "This is an outstanding, well rounded device similar to what the Orginal Poster of this thread made himself. I believe it produces insane amount of vapor for what it is."

btw nice video... wish i had included something similar in mine. Have a wonderful splendid day.
