I read that - but didn't (and don't) know what they considered their "super-fine" line. They list 400 as both ultra fine and super fine. Their individual descriptions use "ultra fine" for 150 up, and the only place I found "super fine" is in the separate listing in the A4 sheets - that page says they don't always have A4 sheets of 400 and 325, so created the "super fine" category as a grab-bag type purchase.

Did you try just emailing them? Give them your order# and ask if they can tell you what the free sheet was? If it's coarser or finer than 400 then you will know which is which.

It is very easy to tell which mesh sheet is the higher grade.

If you overlap the sheet and slide it back and forth and hold it up to a light and look at it, it will create a "Moiré pattern".

The "Moiré pattern" (Dots) that look the smallest (closest together) is the mesh sheet that is the higher grade.

The pattern on the right in the video is the finer, higher grade mesh.

Yes, even w/ shipping it's still cheaper to buy in the UK at the mesh company.

If you split an order w/ someone at the mesh company it'll be around that. You'll also get an extra sheet or two more than likely. Of course, someone may sell you some here or in the classifieds.

Thanks!

Would anyone like to split an order of mesh?

Now that is just extremely cool!

I did that just a couple of days after receiving the order - no answer.

I guess I should try again - worst thing that could happen is another no answer. :)

I did that -- and thanks for the tip. One feels almost the same on both sides, and the other doesn't. That doesn't help me know what I got, though. And I'm not even sure one of the sheets is 400 - companies do make mistakes (I used to make shipping mistakes right with the company's big customers, who went straight to the top to complain).

Certainly seems interesting... Has anyone tried this? For the $72 price tag from McMaster Carr you get a 5 inch X 100 Foot role That would be enough to last a lifetime and certainly cheaper than what is spent on sheets of stainless mesh.

Edit: Nope, upon a closer look the mesh is way too course... I don't think it would wick.

Really do not know. Still do not know the total sum. So far there are only two pieces, others are still produced.

It's it possible to get a set up? Are you taking orders? I am just curious, I was trying to get one made from the drawings you posted on your site a while back. The cost was outrageous. I ned to try again. Love the design. Thanks
