So I just ordered a GG Stealth from COV, mod only. I like new, shiny things but I'm clueless as to what I should buy to go with the stealth. What batteries, charger do I need? Should I get a tank, or am I ok with dual coil cartos? Right now I'm using an Altsmoke Alpha and an Epower 14650, so what should I expect from the GG Stealth? Sorry for all of the questions but like I said, I'm clueless when it comes to the GG. Any and all info would be appreciated. Thanks!

... so what should I expect from the GG Stealth?

You can expect that you'll want some more GG stuff.:D

Seriously, as gratefulbuddy already said - 18350/16340 are the way to go. If you want to use 18500 batteries you need a telescope for the GGStealth. Additionally you can put a top tube on top to enable 18650 batteries usage.

Maybe you have a look at the GG Wiki - GGStealth.

My GF bought a SS liquinator for her stealth and she LOVES it. It is a really sweet little mod! The best part is that once Imeo releases the VV add on, it will work in the stealth (another reason for the 18350 AW IMR). You should also get a better hit out of the stealth than the alpha and e power, but the alpha may be close.

I'm in the same boat as the OP. Stealth pre-ordered, as well as a few 18350's (I ordered 1200mah trustfires... was that a bad call?). I'm already desperately fighting the urge to start thinking about expanding. Hoping just the stealth will be satsifying enough for a while

Regarding the batteries... I keep hearing that the AW IMR's are the way to go. Honestly, I see 700mah (in comparison to 1200mah's elsewhere) and I think "are you kidding?" Anyone have a good explanation on why the 700mah AW's are a better way to go?

I know it may not be a popular opinion but I personally like the Trustfire 18350s they are a bit longer then the IMR 18350s so it may be a tight fit but they do work well. I had to trim my battery spring down because it was tighter then I like.

As for the mah ratings a lot of companys over state their MAH ratings. even though the Trustfiresays if is 500 more mah they don't really last any longer then the IMR's for me.

The AW's are IMR, safer chemistry. You scarifice a little bit of run time, but they hit better and they are safer.

Are you talking about the Orange 1200mAh TrustFires? Those are unprotected cells. If you want to use them BE CAREFUL! The GG is vented, but I do not think you want a bomb next to your face. Do NOT over drain or over charge those cells or you will regret it. They can be used, but do some research. Know how to use them safely.

On the same note just take the extra 5 seconds to test with a multi-meter any battery you use most failures are a result of overcharging and the first use after an overcharge is when they go boom.... so please always check your battery after charging... a little bit of prevention is better than stitches or plastic surgery... I also feel the high drains are more suited for what we ask of them especially using LR attys or for HV vaping... I also feel IC protection is a false sense of security as IC's can and will fail especially with the pressure put on them from any tube style mod especially if you like your stuff nice and tight....

No, these are protected. (https://www.madvapes.com/Trustfire-Protected-18350-Battery_p_3116.html) I've read enough horror stories (as well as watching the demo video on the Liposack website - scary stuff) to be highly paranoid. Wouldn't have bought unprotected... I must say, I saw a few "reviewers" on a 18500 batt say that they couldn't get it to fit in their blah-blah, so they removed the protection circuit, and now it fits just fine, and I think they're batsh!t crazy

Thanks for all of the help so far.
I think I'm going to order the AW IMRs, I've had them with every mod I've owned and they have always worked well. My only remaining question is whether to get a tank for the stealth. I had a chopper tank for the epower and didn't like it at all, the draw was too airy. If I do get a tank, is the ss liquinator definitely the way to go? Or do you think I'll be happy sticking with my dual coil cartos?

Agree 110%! I want as many layers of protection as I can get between me and Lithium Ions! I use them yes but I religiously check the physical condtion for any signs of cover wear or damage to the pcb. I also have a DMM by my chargers so I can test each one that comes off in a days time on the actual status of the charge when full.

It may be a little overkill on my part but I have seen first hand what a fat batt ego clone can do when it goes into thermal runaway. Not a pretty sight. Wish I had phots of that but I was just too busy being thankful that fat biy managed to get a window open and toss it into the yards before it went.

At any rate, it's like driving. It's an inherently dangerous task we get all too comfy with and inevitably take a few shortcuts. All it takes is one incident to leave an indelible mark on your frontal lobe! Both psychologicaly and literally!

I find Bruce is pretty expensive. But sometimes it appears to be more expensive than it really is because everything is 10% discounted. So those batteries aren't badly priced at NINE DOLLARS I SWEAR I DID THE MATH RIGHT HTE FIRST TIME. Also, he has good customer service, a good range of products and is often bringing in new, noteworthy products.

If you're just buying batts, I would shop around. Brad (above) has good prices, so you can always support him.

Thanks wigglr ;)

BTW...after 10% of $9.99 it's still $9 being a $1.25 more than me
Although if your looking for one stop shopping and bigger selection than I guess it's worth the extra premium.

So much for that college education!!! LET ME QUICKLY EDIT THAT OUT SO I FEEL SMART
