Hello All,

I've just started vaping about 3 days ago. I droped from around 16 cigs to Zero from the day i bought a starter kit of njoy Pro Duo. I dont know if it was the best choise, but didnt found any other in any shop in Lisbon, Portugal.

Anyway, i'm having some issues with it that maybe someone more experienced might be able to help.

1. The bateries last about the same as 8 cigs (is that normal?). I'm using 3 a day, meaning im always recharging. Since they last aroun 300 recharges, they'll be dead soon:?:
2. The cartomizer should be the same as 30 cigs (as they say) but seems to me that they are around 20. Is that normal or am i vapind like hell :facepalm: Cause if its 20 cigs, its really expensive, tho i already bought some liquid in UK and am just waiting for it.
3. I dont know when to change the cartomizer. Ok, my 1st one almost went in fire... so hot i could see the orange fire inside....really;
4. Once the liquid arives, how many times can i refill a cartomizer?

Well, i have a lots of questions but for now hese are the main ones. Dont wanna spread panic around me :)

Thanks for all the help.

Hi Tiago and welcome to ECF!

I can't really answer your questions about the batteries because I've never used the Duo. But as far as cartomizers go - sorry but you were misled. A typical carto will not be equivalent to a pack (or more) of analogs. Unfortunately a lot of vendors try to say they are, but they just aren't. Basic rule of thumb is - if the vapor production starts to go down, or the wicking material starts looking dry - refill. If your cartos are getting that hot, it's because you have sucked all the liquid out of them and are probably burning the wicking material. Atomizers (which are inside a carto) like to be WET. They need to be wet to function properly.

As for when you should change cartos - basically if it stops producing good vapor, or gets a "burnt" taste, or just plain ceases to function despite refilling it, it's time to pull out a new one. My cartos last me about a week of refilling 3-4 times a day. BUT keep in mind, YMMV - it just depends on how much you vape, how well you keep your carto wet (without flooding), and how well you take care of your equipment. Not all cartos are created equally either - some are just better than others.

Hope this has helped a little.
