Decent article except for the ALA's same old nonsense. At least everybody else seems to now realize ALA's claims are false.

Erika Sward is the American Lung Association's assistant vice president for national advocacy. She said there is no evidence to show that e-cigarettes are safe or that they are effective in helping people quit smoking.

"If people are concerned about the health consequences of smoking, they should talk to their doctor, or they can call 1-800-QUITNOW, or use one of the seven medications approved by the Food and Drug Administration," Sward said.

Erika Sward would be well advised to stop saying "there is no evidence." It makes her look uninformed, to say the least.

This response by Elaine should be used as a template for future comments. There's no need for us anymore to go into defense mode. With all the studies, reports and evidence on our side, the tables are turned and it's our turn to attack:
