What is wrong with my juice????? I have mixed several flavors, one being Scubabatdan's tobacco, which I followed to the tee. Everything I mix is bitter tasting. Not a harsh chemical thing but more on the bitter side. I've mixed some at 24 mg and some at 18 and so far everything is close to unvapable. I keep puffing on it thinking something magical will happen and it will begin to smooth out but it hasn't happened yet. Yesterday I mixed hubby some Juicy Fruit in with the tobacco and at first it was good. Then the flavor died down after a few hours and I put in a couple more drops and it was good again. Today it would be pretty good if only it didn't have that undertone of bitterness. What am I doing wrong? I'm mixing at 70 PG 30 VG. I've tasted my PG and VG both by themselves and mixed together and it's smooth and slightly sweet but when I add flavor, it goes to He$$. I've been reading about DIY for the past 6 months so I'm not going in this totally blind but I feel like a dummy with all these flavors from PA and Seedman and can't find anything that will keep me coming back for more. UGH....

Maybe your nic isn't great? Where did you buy it? Did you add any extra sweetener to your juices? That might help.

Wish I could help, just starting to fool with diy tobacco flavors. I can say that too much flavor can kill your diy. Sometimes time will right flavors, but usually more of the mergo or muting the perfumey/chemical taste. Hopefully someone who's been mixing tobacco a while will come along soon!

I bought my 100 mg. nic juice from RTS. It is perfectly clear and has no odor whatsoever.

RTS is usually decent. What sort of flavorings are you using, I mean brand?

I found the culprit. It's the Cotton Candy sweetener. I tested all three ingredients in my base and it was fine. The one other constant in my recipes is cotton candy so I dropped a drop into the unflavored base and viola! There was the bitter taste.

The cotton candy should not be bitter at all. It should add a sweetness to your juice. If yours is bitter I would say you got a bad bottle.

Yeah, definitely a bad batch. It has no sweetness, just extreme bite, bitter bite. I just dumped out all the bottles I made. Gonna start over and use sucralose this round. Wish me luck. I'm running out of commercial juice fast. LOL

I despise Cotton Candy! Try Marshmallow or White Chocolate to smooth and sweeten Good luck!

Sucralose does taste better but also tends to clog cartos/attys fast IMO

Whoo hoo!!!! I just mixed some apple tobacco for hubby and he really likes it!!! He grabbed the bottle to take with him to watch wrestling so it's all good now.

I just found out what a boo boo I pulled. I ordered the Circus Cotton Candy which is a flavoring and not the sweetener kind. No wonder everything was bitter! Blonde moment for sure!!! I contacted Linda at PA about the problem and she was right on it. She's sending me the right one tomorrow. Great customer service and it was my mistake but I still think Scubabatdan had the Circus Cotton Candy hot linked in one of his posts because I clicked it and bookmarked it.
