Someone moved the E-Liquid Recipes

It used to be a sub forum of DIY e-liquid where it belonged. It was easy to see any new posts from the DIY page and quickly go to it. Now it's been moved and we have to get to it from the main menu.

The two go hand-in-hand. If you don't DIY then you have no interest in recipes so make it easy on the DIY folks.

Please put it back the way it was.

It was moved because I was getting complaints from people who didn't even know it existed because it couldn't be seen from the main page. Now it exists right next to the DIY forum in the same category, and people can now see that we have a forum for e-liquid recipes.

Sorry, but you know the old saying. You can't please everyone.

Did the number of complaints outnumber the number of views that the DIY section gets? And how did the people complaining know what to complain about if they didn't know it existed?

I don't believe this question is relevent. I'm fairly confident, however, that the Recipes forum will get more views now that it is more easily seen.

One example... a member who emailed me because he had been here for months before he found it, and would have gotten more use from it if he had known it was there earlier.

Sorry for the few people who are inconvenienced by this move, but it is not going to be moving back.

It would only be relevent if the intent is to make it more convenient for those longtime users of the DIY section already vs. increasing the number of views, of course.

I understand that the recipe forum will not be moved back to its previous position. That being said, DIY can be confusing and even dangerous without the proper advise. The recipe forum's previous placement forced people to at least glance at the stickied advice sections of the DIY Liquid forum before attempting to create their own liquid.

Internet Forum Rule #1... nobody reads the stickies. You'd be surprised how often this is proved true.

If the determining issue was about what people thought was best, there might have been a poll. That's clearly not the case here, so, sorry what you think really doesn't matter, even though you are one of the one's that is 'pleased'..... this time.

And you really don't have to "hide" when you're agreeing with the moderator. You're 'safe'. No 'facepalm' for you.... from him, anyway.
