Something comparable to Merlin rta or better

looking for a different rta I don't keep up with what's out and new
I use one coil only so I need something that works with one coil if it's a dual coil.
I been using the Merlin for a while now
I want something different
Was thinking obs engine nano
Or a troll
Any other suggestions?

The Engine is quite nice, and leak proof. There's the Ammit, and the Pharoah, too.

If you want something simple and flavorful for MTL, try the kayfun Lite Plus V2, the Kayfun Mini V3, or the Squape R(s). I have the Merlin and I want to like it, but it's too finicky with the adjustments designed to appeal to every vaping style form MTL to DTL. The adjustments slip easily and I don't find it to be a set and forget atomizer.

If you are OK with owning a clone Fasttech has a couple good choices. I own each of these and they all perform real well and the build quality is very good. All single coal and work perfectly with TC (I use mostly 316L stainless).

I own an authentic of the K5 and Hussar and the clones are every bit the same exact vape and build quality.

I really like the IJoy Exo RTA.
It never leaked on me, has a dual and singlecoil deck and a capacity of 2 or 6ml.

am getting some leaking out of the serpent smm
Cotton is all the way down to the bottom and it's snug not tight or loose in coil.
Any suggestions?

I wick mine how SMM does in his youtube video. No leaks. Sure your tails aren't up against air flow? That would be the first thing I would check.

Ok.
I just changed the wick.
Not sure where the air holes are that I could block tho.
One problem I have with any tank is my wick always is burnt inhalf when I change them.
I change my wick once a day if not more sometimes depending on issues.
I run low wattage like 10/12w
I use Japanese cotton off amazon.
Maybe that's one of the issues?

AF holes are beside and slightly below coil angled up. Hard to see. If coils are burnt in half turn your watts down or open af on tank more. What is your coil build?

I use very little air flow.
