Hey guys. My setup came with clearomizers which I have been liking a lot! But I also have read certain favors should not go in them. This worries me as I don't always know what would constitute not being used with plastic. Can you suggest, with links if possible, what would be similar to a clearo but able to handle any juice. Thanks again.

Hi! There are many juices that degrade polycarbonate and acrylic. I like cinnamon myself, so I use carto tanks of glass or polypropylene. To date, there aren't any small clearo-type systems that will stand the abuse. Polycarbonate is cheap, but manufacturers are starting to notice customers will pay a bit more for a product that doesn't melt. Kanger Protank is a good example.

If you just want to try a super inexpensive tank, I got a couple of these and so far they're working okay for cheap, mass-produced things: 510 SCT-V2 3.5ml Tank

Ok at the risk of sounding dumb, I'm not getting the difference between tanks and clearos.

Darkhood: thanks for that suggestion. I'm assuming I need to buy that first and then replace the tank??

A picture dictionary of common juice carrying devices:

List of confirmed flavors that can crack or melt polycarbonate clearomizers or clear plastic tubed tanks:

If you are using a cigarette-size battery, about your only option to use the volatile flavors in question is a cartomizer. The other juice delivery devices are just too large to put on a cigalike.

For the benefit of the other members that might be viewing this thread, below are some options for people using a battery at least the size of an eGo:

IBTanked-on-Spinner.jpg dctank.jpg IBTanked pyrex and polypropylene DCT

IBTanked and Valley View Vapes offer about the most affordable pyrex tanks available, and are high quality. Any tank that uses polypropylene as the tube material (frosted plastic) is safe also, such as the DCT pro tanks from My Vapor Store and the polypro tanks at Valley View. All-metal tanks can be used, but are difficult to judge falling juice levels since you can't see the juice.

metal sleeves for VN.jpg replacement all metal tubes for Vivi Nova tanks

There are metal sleeves available for the Vivi Nova tanks, sold as an accessory. Only the ones made entirely with metal are safe, the ones with the clear plastic window are still made with polycarbonate, which can still crack with the volatile flavors.

big daddy.jpg Big Daddy metal tank with juice window

The Big Daddy and Lil Moma metal tanks have a juice window that the vendor claims is safe for all juices, so I assume the window is made of glass or polypropylene.

Ok so am I researching correctly? I would love a polypropylene clearomizer, but do they not exist? The tanks seem a bit much for me at this point. Or so it seems.
Nope, no polypropylene clearomizers.

Your best bet would be to invest in an eGo battery and either a pyrex/polypropylene cartotank or a Vivi Nova tank with the accessory all-metal sleeve. My first choice would be one of the cartotanks for best flavor, but I'm admittedly biased against any string-wicked delivery device.

As I mentioned before, you can still use those flavors in a metal cartomizer.

Well, it met the OP's criteria - not mine. To me, size matters. :)

drumroll....."That's what SHE said!" :D

Actually, the above post by OP that he admitted that he had an eGo is the first I was aware he had decent size battery. So you are correct my dear, and I tip my hat to you ma lady.

Dude, have you seen the size of that thing?

And put that on a cigarette sized-battery? Double :lol:

Kanger protank - YouTube

Edward at Sun Vapors was involved with designing the Protank. I'm sure something smaller will appear soon. He worked with Kanger to make a Baby T3.
