a vast majority of the ecig vendors i have come across have exceptional customer service, especialy some of the bigger ones like TV and FSUSA, vapor bomb to name a few. this is a nice change from being a mainly retail shopper where all the retail peons don't give a crap about the customers, and all the big-wigs only care about my money. every time i have had an issue since coming into this subculture it has been resolved in a timely manner with very few issues, everyone has gone above and beyond for my, as if i was the only customer, where much bigger outfits, such as amazon, wal-mart and newegg to name a few it takes days, sometimes weeks to get an issue resolved. so to all the ecig suppliers out there who go above and beyond what is expected of you to make US the CUSTOMERS happy. i thank you. more businesses should take the time to realize that without the patronage of the general people, your business would go belly up, so a little respect and consideration goes a long way, treat customers like people, and not talking wallets.

I have also been impressed with the quality of service from many of these vendors.

I think it's a matter of scale. The e-cig market is still very small. Most companies start out small and part of getting your foot in the door is offering exceptional quality and service. But once a company grows enough it tends to care less about quality and more about the bottom line. I've seen this first hand with the gaming company Valve. Valve is still an exceptional company, don't get me wrong, but they're a hell of a lot closer to EA than they were 5 years ago, both financially and in the quality and support of their products.

I'm no economics major, that's just my slightly educated guess.

I run a very small online aquarium supply business and it's much easier when only one or two people are running a store to provide great customer service. It's all they think about all the time. There's basically no distraction from customers and their needs. Plus these people are all most likely doing something they love and are passionate about which will inherently result in more attention. Small vendors FTW!

Every single vendor I've used is nicer than can be. I have a problem, they send me replacements. I order a bunch of juice, they send me free stuff just to thank me for using them. One vendor in particular comes to mind.. Cignot and her name is Vicki. She is the nicest person I've met so far. I will love all these vendors forever, Thanks to all of you.

I think word of mouth plays a HUGE factor in this business as well. Think about how often you see people on this website recommending, (or on rare occassions condemning) a vendor. I have seen a small handful of ads for e-cigs, but pretty much every vendor I am aware of I learned about here. There is at least one I will never patronize because of something I witnessed here, and I have discouraged at least one real life friend from them as well. Same goes for the positive experiences. I request business cards to be sent with my orders so I can give them to people who inquire.

Exactly. If a vendor doesn't have a presence here, I probably don't even know they exist. I'm not going to buy off a random website that nobody else has ever heard of. I've ordered from a bunch of e-cig companies that a good following here, and I've been happy with all them. I'm not always happy with the products I buy, but I attribute that to my personal tastes and not any failures on the part of the vendor.

Scale has something to do with it... but then again, there aren't many retailers bigger than Amazon, and I've never been unhappy with that company, either.

IMO Its a fast growing industry. There's so many places to shop for supplies. One bad experience with a vendor and people will go elsewhere. Vendors need to have great service or they will be out of business.

I do agree. I haven't had many bad experiences at all. The worst being one order from TV was sent to the wrong address. I notified them and they corrected it pronto.

Most all Ecig vendors are vapers themselves. It's how they got into the business and they use their own product. ECF members have an advantage because they talk among themselves and share experiences. Vendors know this and respect the fact that they have an educated customer.

One vendor close to me only offered 100% PG juices. I like a mix, but also like the response (next day receipt of shipment) that I can get from him. I sent him the results of a poll here on ECF that showed most people like various mixes instead of 100% PG or VG. It was only a month or so before he started offering mixes. Response time is pretty fast in a changing market such as Ecigs and he showed himself to be one of those who was willing to listen and respond. I like that.

I just worked a 16 hour shift so id decided to go out and unwind before crashing for the night. While I was out I ran into Taras from electronic ash and he might be one of the nicest straight forward guys ive ever met, but the same is true for almost all ecig vendors..... Except the mall kiosk venders lol, if you don't have alot of greenery in your pocket they hardly acknowledge your existence

Customer service has been a huge factor with which vendors I use. I would pay a little more to go with a known-good vendor versus save a couple bucks on a place I've never ordered from. Recently I had a bad experience with some hardware from a new-to-me vendor, and they bent over backwards to make it right.
I'm pleased, and have added them to my personal recommendation list that I give out every weekend while out and about. I get about 10 hits per night from people wanting to know what the hell I'm smoking! I stress customer service to new users.

Great customer service? Oh yeah!!! Sayer Koh, owner of BomBay vapor, is definitely one of the best in this category. This guy really cares. I never once contacted him about not being able to use my credit card on the site (it's down right now) and he took the initiative and contacted me through ECF! Because I missed my chance on the St.Patricks day sale (I've been really wanting to try his juice) he gave me my own personal 20% Coupon code to use once their CC is up and running again.

Now I don't know what you guys think about that, but to me, that's 110% customer service right there. You're the man Sayer!
