I was vaping away and put my ego 1000mau ontop of my computer tower and it started going on and off by itself. Its a manual battery and it just went off by itself every 20 seconds or so. When I took it off and put it on my desk it never did it again. I wont chance it, I am getting a new battery, but has anyone else experienced a weird anomaly with their ego?
Something weird is happed with my ego anyone else have this?

Yeah I know. I would try it again but I dont want to blow up my battery lol. Probably a short and it was just coincidence it was ontop of my tower at the time.
If it is the kind with the hard button then likely your button is sticking. Remove remove the atomizer and quickly press and release the button 50 times or so to loosen it up. Happened to me when I originally got my eGo and it is still working fine today.
They are sealed so might be rundown to the switch. I didd what hotone said, Hopefully that works

I have had juice leak into my ego battery through the button. Didn't short it out thankfully, but I'm a lot more careful now.
Maybe it's just gunked up like hotone says.

lol yup. If it does it again I am buying a new battery. I dont need it turning on blowing my atty and battery up. I wonder if you can clean the battery with alcohol or water submersing it seeing its sealed. I wont do it until I get conformation from someone if its ok or not.
Submersing it is not a good idea as the PCB is right under the button and that part of the unit is not sealed.
any elecrical spray cleaner will be fine. for that matter brake cleaner is much the same but might stain the battery coating white...wd40 is electical safe if all else fails.
I think you may be dealing with ghosts. I'd move out right away and call those dudes from a&e.
LOL the ghost have seemed to stop vaping. Damn and we could have used their support too. Since moving from on top of my computer tower it hasn't done it again. I also used a cotton swab with some rubbing alcohol around the button and everything seems to be working just fine now.
I wonder if the magnetic field of your case is activating the circuit board somehow. Definately a strange and not common issue from what I've seen, heard, or experienced.
Twilight zone. I would try to replicate it but dont want to risk blowing up my battery.
