I'm really enjoying my sparkly red mini! She feels great in my hand and the taste is so close to dripping I'm giddy, but I think something is amiss. When I press on the bottle it feeds fine, but only makes a little squish sound. I was expecting a loud squonk, like when you crush a mouse, but without the cracking bones of course. Am I doing it wrong? And the door - I don't think it rattles enough. Try as I might, I can't make it sound like a maraca. I was really looking forward to playing along with my Carmen Miranda CD. Is there a fix for these? Should I send it back? Are they covered by the warranty?

Mine has the same problem. Rather than bother Rob with it, I just accept it and enjoy the vape.:)

Well, it was just a matter of time.....someone was bound to get a dud. Maybe tighten down the cap on the bottle a LOT....you could probably create an air-lock situation that would make a little more noise. Of course, it'll leak, and it won't feed worth a darn, but that's just the price you'll pay for the sound effects. Just sneak-drip from the top and nobody will know it's not feeding. Then, maybe remove one of the magnets....that may not completely solve the "solid door" problem.....but it just might make it lopsided enough to rattle a little. If it's just altogether too quiet and perfect, maybe get an HH-357 to put on it....if I remember correctly, they "gurgle" quite a bit.

I think it's a bit small to put a gun on, but I supposed I could give it a shot LOL! Where would the trigger go? By the firing button or the bottle? I imagine putting ball bearings or small screws inside would make it rattle, but would the sound be right or would Reonutz know I was faking? I really want to fit in, I only bought it to be one of the cool kids.

You were already cool you just upped your game with the REO !

Thanks, but status is really important to me. Too many people have gotten ProVaris lately for me to feel truly elitist. You may have noticed there are fewer threads these days accusing us of falling for hype and insisting that claiming to enjoy a well-made device is only a justification for spending too much money. I love my ProThingy, but thought it would be nice to have a completely different set-up to alternate with. I believe the Reo will be perfect to help me maintain my deluded cult-member personae.

And no one has admitted before that Reos have these serious flaws. Myself, I have been enjoying the clouds of vapor and not looking at it critically. No rattle and, especially with the RM2 on top, no loud squonking noises on mine either. One or two did have rattling doors when I got them but it either went away or I adjusted the door. Should have sent them back with these defects.

I'll never look at another Reo the same.

Now have 2 Grands, a VV Grand and a Woodvil,,

REOville is more like a club.

Glad your a member cuz your a cool kitty,

The part of Canada that doesn't get enuf Snow :(
I hadn't thought of that! I bet I could just hit it with a ProVari.

Use the Reo to do the hitting. Just careful it hurts the thumb when ya hit it. It needs a handle like my hammer then it would be perfect. Fwiw the Reo is great for picture nails

Yeah, I agree, when I bought my Provari, I didn't even get a invite into the secret club because there's too many members. And the REO anodized purple matches other anodized aluminum products in purple. Another plus.

.....and they don't have Secret Decoder Rings either.
