Hi vaporeans...I don noe if its the battery issues or somthing i changes thats causing my ego-v4 batt to last damn short....I juz dismantle the head to change the heating wire with a nichrome wire i had laying around(im a rc plane hobbyist,so i cut up foams using nichrome wires alot)I made 4 coils, and fit it back in.After assembling everything, refill and tested...it worked(1St time opening my ego heads..yay!)But after a few press,The battery part will get more warmer than usual and doesnt last long than before i changed the coils.Plzz heelpp...:(

If the Battery Part is Getting Warmer than Usual, it could be that the Coil you made is Too Low Ohms. And you are Drawing Too Many Amps.

Did you check the Coil you made with a Meter. What Ohms is it?

Yes, you are building to low resistance or you have a coil shorting. STOP before you damage the battery.

You cannot run Very low Ohm coils on a stick battery without damage.

NiChrome 32 guage 5/6 wrap - about 2.0ohms okay

You need a multi meter to Verify resistance once coil is complete.........Before attempting use.

Good luck

You can find volt/ohm/watt/amp calculators for smart phone and on websites. I have on on android phone and it will calculate all the above from any two pieces of info for the most part. Usually I'm entering volts, 3.7, and ohms of the coil, to get amps and watts. A good use would be to determine what volts to set your vari voltage device at to give you desired watts. You measure your coil ohms, say 2.4, know that you get a good vape at say 8 watts, give the calculator watts and ohms and it will give you volts and amps. In this case 4.38 volts at 1.826 amps. You can easily compare this to the voltage and amps available from your device and see if you've stayed with in its limits.
I have "Ohms Law Calculator" on my android device.
