Something's wrong with my Kamry K1000 epipe

I bought a protank 3 v2 today at a local vape shop. When I put it on my pipe it wasn't working which was weird because it was just working with the stock clearomizer. I went back, and apparently the little contact piece on the battery end was the issue. The dude there could take it out and I said I didn't know I could take it out. He said you're usually not supposed to and low and behold one of the wires came unsoldered. He said they used cheap thin wire.

So he ended up replacing some of the wire and soldering it back on, but I guess he couldn't get the contact pad to rest completely straight on (it's kind of lopsided). He told me to be careful with it, because it may start to get hot. I can't remember why he said it would get hot, unfortunately, as my memory's pretty poor.

Anyways, I was vaping it earlier, and all of a sudden I was getting no vapor. The "bowl" that the battery sits in was starting to get really hot so I took the battery out asap.

Now I understand this is a very hard question to answer, but what sounds like the issue is? Does it sound like something came unsoldered or something? I put the battery back in and I'm now vaping away again.

From what I understood, you went into a vape shop to purchase a new clearotank and it didn't work on your device. The employee then took your device that was already paid for and tampered with it causing it to break and not operate properly?

I would worry less about how to fix your mod, and focus more on pushing a replacement out of that shop since he caused the issue. At very least get shop credit to cover it along with a couple bottles of juice. That is extremely unprofessional of them. What it sounds like happened to begin with, was the contact pins weren't touching. He could have easily pushed the Protank's pin out slightly with a flat head screwdriver or recommended you a new tank.

From personal experience, do your research online before every purchase and then purchase online. Vape shops are great for socializing, but many of them don't know anything about what they're selling, have horrible work ethics and mark their prices up beyond belief.
