SO out of nowhere i started getting a very low voltage drop......i cleaned the contact and the spring did not collapse.....this happened ever since i did a .4ohm build on it.....i usually got around 3.6V on a fresh charged battery.....so I'm getting 2.7V on a fresh charged battery.

Like I said I have cleaned the contact on the grand and everything is clean....could it be something wrong with my RM2?

Check the firing button and make sure it didn't get melty on you. If it has you might not be making full contact with the top of the battery. Just asking but did the batteries come off the charger fully charged? That seems like a very large voltage drop.

im metering the batteries......when its by itself its 4.2....when its attached to the grand its 4.17 and when i attach the RM2 its 2.7......

there are some sparks in there too where it touches the battery.....doesent seem melty....looks like the other i have that is pretty new......i cleaned it and now it looks new

You said a .4 ohm coil. Check your spring. Several people have reported a sagging spring with 0.4 ohm coils.

Here is my pin. Looks good to me.

Also what's this crap in the hole. I took the center post out and there is something in there that looks like silicone. I pulled out the grommet and everything that is supposed to be in there out. Can't put my post back in cause this is causing friction.

Don't mess with that its part of the 510 gasket. File and noalox your fire pin 99.9% certain your fire pin just needed a good clean

don't have nolax and the spring is not saggin.....i check that first off cause i knew i was pushing a hot coil.....

it does fine without a RM2 so i think its the RM2........without the RM2 its pushing 4.2 steady

Clearly it's the atty not the mod.

Just to be absolutely sure, try another atty on there and see what it's firing under load. But it's pretty clear it's the RM2. Something must have come loose or melted when you ran the .4 coil.

no the springs can sag but it is most definitely a dirty firing pin without noalox the pin will oxidize with just a few hits on it

let us know when you get the mod back together I will walk you through how to test that quickly and easily :)

Last time I was in Lowe's (few days ago) they no longer had any Noalox. They had, instead, Oxguard. I think it works about the same, but if you go to Lowe's, that's probably what you'll find. I searched the whole section (by the multimeters) and nada. I also noticed that they had just one brand of multimeters.....all one brand, just different priced models. So.....some salesman got to them.....gone is the Noalox, I think.
