hey guys, checked out f lights yet, restocked on high drain batteries, immediately bought two Sony VTC5 anyway, compared the batteries with online images and it seems legit. cheers!

Does your vtc5 have a noticeable seem? Bought 4 and all seemed to have, as compared to my vtc3. The QR code is also more faint on the vtc5. The negative posts looks different too, maybe they were built differently? Need someone to verify as well because I'm confused now

performance wise seems pretty good, chain vaping on my sigelei at about 30 watts also left it on for 24 hours, battery life still has 68% left. Checked out their facebook page and they confirmed its authentic. It doesn't get really warm after charging too.

"Just compared the new VTC5 to an older one (from a previous batch) that a customer brought in earlier - identical in every way. So you could say that our shipment is legit." -quoted from their fb

I just got my order from fstoplights. Not sure whether this is a good indicator, but they're not fitting into my vapor flask. The VF manufacturer suggest only using VTC series and LG HE2s. I got a pair of authentic VTC4s and LG HE2s, both of which fit perfectly in the flask. The VTC5's I got from fstop don't and actually seem identical to a set of VTC5s I found a while back on Amazon which also don't fit (way too snug to fit even with moderate force).

Based on this I'm inclined to suspect they're not authentic. I also have a couple really old authentic VTC5s I bought a year or so ago which DO fit in the flask, which only further leads me to believe these ones, unfortunately, are not legit. :(

I guess the quest for real VTC5's continues.

I literally had to screw them in.. The LG HE2s that comes in the VS dun fit the VF also..

The ones I got from illumn (HE2s and VTC4s) both fit nicely in my flask. Perhaps a bit snug at first but gently wiggling they slide in with minimal resistance.

All of the VTC5s that I bought in the last few months I feel like I'd need a hammer to bang in, but an older VTC5 I got from batteryjunction a year ago fits much like my VTC4s and HE2s.

Apparently there are "authentic" VTC5s with a slightly longer gap in the top section which causes them not to fit in the flask. I read that here where they're selling them for $9.95. I sent an email to see whether they do or do not have the larger gap and am awaiting a response.

Personally, I'm sticking with VTC4s until the 5s come back. I'm sort of limited because of the super tight battery channels in the vapor flask so even authentic VTC5s which have a longer top part wont fit. I've got 4 or so VTC5s which I bought within the last month which are supposedly legit but, because they have this longer top I can't squeeze them in my device.

For all other devices, I hear that the Samsungs are good. The VTC4's are still available & also those LG ME2s are also pretty good.
