The battery is probably ok if this has only happened once but you just found one reason why the trustfire charger is not a particularly well respected charger. It overcharges with ease.

Get a better charger. You are taking valuable lifespan off your rare and expensive to replace Sony batteries with every charge on that trustfire. In the short term, you are taking life off of your batteries. In the long term, when your batteries are aged, the trustfire will find the weak cell and vent it for you, possibly causing a catastrophic failure and fire.

Yup, anumber1 nailed it. That charger doesn't stop charging completely and that will take serious life off your batteries after a little while. For your next charger, there is a guy who does really good battery and charger reviews here. I would get something better and keep this one for a emergency spare.
