can be found sold at many vendors, finding them in stock is the trick. rtd, 101, dna, ebay, many trusted venders to choose from.

I've heard from a few vape shops that the VTC5s are discontinued, and being replaced with VTC6s.

hmm, well did hear of some new chemistry batts coming out also, then there's those 40 amp Vamps at 101 too, but only 2k mah, but heck 40 amps in a 18650

Have enough batts to keep me all mods firing, :D, so waits till replacing is needed and see what's what then.

The 40 amp vamp battery is a 40 amp pulse or burst, I actually have one, it has a punch for the first few hits then drops off with low sub ohm buils. I found 2 charts online saying it's a 20 amp continuous battery.

I'm brand new to the mech mods. Heard about the Sony VTCs and asked about them at my local vape shop. They told me I'd be safe with one of the E-Fest 10 amp 1600mah batteries and so far haven't had any issues. But I don't want to kill myself and/or my equipment, the first coil I built (which I'm still using until I can get home and try again to get to that sub ohm level) is running at around 1.1ohm. I guess long story short, why the push for the Sony VTCs?
