After taking many things into account, I am in the process of joining to vaping population for several reasons, not the least of which is spending over $200 per month on cigs.

After having narrowed down possible purchases, I spoke with a friend of mine who has been vaping for a year now. Through discussion with him, I am leaning towards my purchase being the ego-t. I even went as far as to pull up and begin shopping on cignot.com......but have not purchased yet.

I would like feedback:

1. The kit (about $75) comes with the 650mAh batteries. For an additional $4, I can up that to 1000mAh. What is the difference and is it worth the upgrade?

2. Options are Type A and Type B. Thoughts?

3. I have to order "juice" as well (obviously). I am looking at 16-18 mg nicotine to start with (based on I regularly smoke Camel Lights and they are a 9 mg) Also, previously took a pull from a 25 and it seemed to bite a bit harsh for me.

4. Also on the juice. I plan on shopping at Mrs. T's bakery (based on my friends recommendation, as well as glowing reviews), however, will be ordering juice to start through cignot. At this time I have 16mg VG Camel (desert ship) as I am guessing it will be closest to what I am used to and a small 5ml bottle of 16 mg VG coffee (hold the cream). Chose this because I am a coffee junkie as well. An also considering a small 5ml of the Key Lime....these to get me going until I get a first order from Mrs T's. In regards to Mrs. T's......I see plenty of flavors, but not "tobacco" of any sort. What would be the best "replacement" for the Camel Blue's (Lights) I am going to be putting down?

5. The total order through cignot (as listed above minus the key lime) is running me just under $100. Seems reasonable based on all I have priced.

Thoughts please....................

Welcome and congrats on making the decision to swap over to e-cigs...I don't use the tanks BUT will say, for 4bux more definitely get the bigger batts, they will give you another 4+-hrs of vape time...from my readings, I would go with the "B" tanks...haven't used MrsT...I have been avoiding the "premium" blenders because I have been happy with my low cost custom blender, BlueMistVaping and don't wanna havvta pay double the price for juice...BMV,s Key Lime is one of my favs...haven't found a coffee I like yet, no matter what they taste like to begin with, they end up tasting "burnt"...was a lites smoker as well, started off with 12mg and had to move up to 16mg to get satisfaction...I am vaping Vanilla Tobacco, Caramel Tobacco and RY4 from BMV...they have all needed a week of steeping to reach their taste potential.....

You have many questions grasshopper :)
Spring for the 1000mAh batteries. When new they'll last all day.
Juices, well, you're going to have to experiment until you find ones you like. I, personally, didn't much care for tobacco flavors as much as I expected. Lots of others feel the same way
The tank system gets mixed reviews. I used one for about 5 months and tried a lot of other things on my way to LR Boge cartos. The batteries you have in mind will fit all kinds of things so IMO they're a good choice.
Others will be along shortly
Welcome to the forum :)

Thanks for the replies, and so quickly. based on pictures, I would expect Jack to be a tad faster in reply no matter how mad he is (fingers are better for typing than paws are).

I pretty much came down to the V-2 and Blu initially, then remembered my friend said he had gone to e-cigs. We live about 1000 miles apart since I moved and dont see him much any more, however, after taking with him, he pretty much talked me into the ego-t without even trying. I think he was actually speaking more of the Joye 510 that he started with, but has since switched to the ego and likes it better. Based on that I figured I would skip a step.

Jack: I have heard the same about the coffee, but am going to give it a go anyway. I figure for $3, a 5 ml bottle is worth a try. I tend to like my coffee after it has been sitting a while and is almost chewable anyway, and if I dont like it....only $3. The key lime I am adding to my order is on Cignot BASIC (jimmy puffit). At first, I was going to stick with regular tobacco and coffee, but decided to add a small bottle of it as well, I like Jimmy Buffett, I like Key Lime, why not.

And yes rwnielson, grasshopper have many ?'s. You should have seen the message thread back and forth with my friend. He is on here somewhere (referred my here) but I dont know his screen name.

Think of mAh like this: 100mAh is about an hour worth of use, so 650mAh is going to give you about 6-7 hours of vaping time. 1000mAh is going to give you about 9-10 hours. Of course, this all depends on how often you vape and what kind of equipment you're going to use, so YMMV. Still, the upgrade is totally worth it! My fiance has a couple of 900mAh eGo batteries that last him all day.

2. Options are Type A and Type B. Thoughts?
Go ahead and try the Type B tanks. Just keep in mind that these really do get mixed reviews; people either really love them or really hate them. I'd suggest buying some cartos so you can try them out. A lot of people really like the Boge LR cartos, the eGo Mega Dual Coil cartos and some of the other dual coils that are out there.

3. I have to order "juice" as well (obviously). I am looking at 16-18 mg nicotine to start with (based on I regularly smoke Camel Lights and they are a 9 mg) Also, previously took a pull from a 25 and it seemed to bite a bit harsh for me.
18mg is usually a good starting point. Don't get too hung up on what you smoked. I used to smoke Ultra Lights and I had to start out at 24mg. I still had some vicious cravings with 18mg. I also switched between the two, using the 24mg for when I was at work or out and about and I used the 18mg at home when I chain vape. There's absolutely nothing in the rule book that says you can't vape two different nic levels.

If you're going to get juice from Ms. T's Bakery, may I suggest the Banana's Foster Coffee? I absolutely loved this flavor! I can't help you out with finding a "replacement" for your Camel Blue's. There really isn't one, although some might come close. I don't really vape any tobacco flavors, TBQH. I'm a coffee, chocolate, dessert person. I've heard some great things about tobacco flavors from BackWoods Brew and I was fond of Mocha Smoke from Gourmet Vapor for a time.

Good luck on your vaping journey! You're off to a great start so far!

Womanofheart: Thanks. Love the way you broke it down.

Jack: I am looking at BMV site as we speak. I dont see coffee there, but several others that I am considering. Keeping it simple to start with what I listed. Cheesecake, Cinnamon Danish, and snickerdoodle have been spoken highly of as well from my friend.

As for the ego-t......good for my first one?

You can use a mix of PG/VG juice with the eGo tanks. A 70PG/30VG or lower on the VG is going to work best. The reason is because VG is so thick that it can't wick properly with these tanks at higher percentages. Personally, I use cartos. Specifically, I use a Liquintor Dual Coil Carto tank, as does my fiance with his eGo and Riva batts. I can use a 60PG/40VG mix with it and I love it! If you just use cartos, with the exception of Clearomizers, you can get away with using this ratio.

Was just checking out another site to order from (the ego-t). Found the mega (comes with a 900aMh) at a lower cost than the other I spoke of. Noted that it advised to NOT use VG based juice in the tank. anyone?

Who is the other supplier? Are they a registered supplier here on ECF? Cignot is definitely a great vendor to do business with. Most of the registered suppliers here on the forum are. Just check the battery warranty at both places. Cignot is 2 months I think.

Tanks have difficulties with all VG juice because it's very thick.

Type B eGo tanks give a satisfying hit with 80/20 or 70/30 PG/VG juices. Going higher in VG will gunk it up. Type A's have more of a reputation for leaking. I read here that there's a silicone goober you can get to stop the A tanks from leaking. Since you haven't purchased yet, the B is a better choice imo.

The extra $4 for more mAh (battery life) is worth it.

Juices: Get the smallest samples you can. Juice is the most challenging issue with vaping. Shopping in the ECF classified section and getting a lot of juices to try for a little is very nice. If you're going 18mg you might want to get a couple 24mg samples also. Nice to have if 18 doesn't satisfy your nic crave. You can learn to dilute it if a lesser mg suits you. If you could test your friend's Ms T's juice before buying you'll save yourself a LOT of money. Even if he and others love a juice there's no guarantee you will.

Just want to say that for someone who is just starting out you are asking great questions. I really wish I would have found ecf before my first purchase, I would have saved loads of money. btw, I am super happy with my ego 1000 mah with lr duel coil crartomizers. the whole set up cost me about 40 bucks, but I did have some stuff leftover from other purchases.

Good luck!

Just to throw one more thing on the pile, you might want to grab a box of blank cartomizers with your order. You need 510 threaded cartomizers. If your tank system gets finicky you can fill a carto with juice, screw it onto your battery and vape. I'd suggest 2.0 to 3.0 ohm range (the lower the number the warmer the vapor). It's about $7 for a box of 5 and will buy you a heap of peace-of-mind.

I so agree with checking out Liberty-Flights.com and the discount! When you click that 20% off button you can't beat their prices. I've ordered a few juices from them too. At $3 for a sample (then take off your 20%) it's a great price. Try their Highway listed under the tobacco flavors if you decide to order from them. Very smooth with a touch of sweet, a nice vape in your eGo T.

Happy vaping!

You have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find your prince. Searching for that perfect supplier with a flavor you love. My husband smoked Marlboro and only capes menthol. My girlfriend only vapes watermelon, her mom grape. Myself, a shoebox full of hit and
misses. Favorites change weekly. I now have 3 vendors, and have to order a new flavor with every order.
There are soo many excellent vendors, like restaurants, find your favorites and having to decide what to order.
Smoked the same cigarette for 20 years, but could not have eaten the same thing for dinner. Good luck, enjoy your quest.,
Waitng for the mailman!
