I'm relatively new to vaping (since 8/30), so I want to quell the urge to blame every small ailment on PG. Nevertheless, I seem to be inordinately sore from the little yard work (painting chairs, etc) I did Saturday. I read, I think it was in the Wikipedia article, that PG metabolizes into Lactic Acid (among other things), and just wondered if maybe I have been over-vaping.

So far, I vape about 6-10 ml of 100% PG, 24Mg Nic per day. I drink water all day long, so I don't think I'm dehydrated. I really enjoy not worrying about it and just vapeing when the urge strikes because I have ZERO cravings for analogs that way. I'm not really all that concerned about it, and I'll probably just keep doing what is working no matter what I find out here, but It has me wondering...

Did any of you experience this sort of thing? Was there any way to mitigate it?

It would be extremely difficult to reach the levels of PG toxicity required to cause lactic acidosis. You would either have to be hooked up to an IV or drink a very large quantity over a short time.

If you just want to be on the safe side, then start mixing some VG with the PG.

Dehydration and low potassium levels are also know to cause sore or cramping muscles.

I forgot about the potassium factor. I've had problems with that before. My diet tends away from any good source. Take spinach for instance; I like spinach, I just don't seek it out often. I love banana flavor, just not in bananas.

Now that I think about it, potassium debt is the most likely cause, and oddly enough, I'd like a big plate of stewed spinach right now.

6 to 10 ml is a pretty heavy amount if vaping.

Although of does metabolize into lactic acid I would lean more to the possibility of maybe you are a little dehydrated and possibly moving around a little more.

If you really think it could be a result of the propylene glycol I would suggest getting a PG/VG mix juice.

Drink plenty of water and stretch before physical activity.

Good point. Snake if you are drinking more water you are flushing your system and potassium might be one of the things going. If you have had a problem with this already, you might want to consider taking some potassium.

I seemed to have similar sore muscle symptoms until about month 5. The sore muscles have since left, I'm in my 8th month vaping.

By month 5 you weren't running out to the mailbox every five minutes; ya had enough 'stuff'!
