Yes, I drink water all day, everyday, and have tried the hard candies also. I only vape in the morning before work and after work, but I am getting an almost (lump in the throat) sensation, don't know if I should be concerned or not. I am proud that I have not smoked a real cig in over 3 months tho.. very happy about that :)

While not a huge fan of american beer, I find that budweiser cuts the e-smoke dry coating sensation thinger out of the back of my throat in one gulp. And honestly, it's a good beer. Yuengling, while being a better beer, does not have the same throat rejuvenating powers. I can't explain it. You'd think there'd be no difference. Guinness is almost as good for it though, and has the added benefit of making you three times more appealing to the opposite sex.

Both VG and PG are humectants, which will dry out your throat. I don't get sore throat when vaping but a dry mouth and throat aren't uncommon. Increasing your liquid intake when vaping should eliminate this, in my experience.

Interestingly I get an extremely dry mouth and throat (cotton mouth) when smoking Marlboro Lights but not at all with Marlboro Reds. I guess it must be something to do with the additives.

Also my throat feels better altogether after lowering my cigarette intake.

I still get a sore throat too. Especially if I don't drink enough water during the day. You kind of have to become a habitual water drinker, but that's okay. It's good for you!

I'll try that tip about Budweiser...normally I wouldn't touch it (Guinness snob) but if I have to replace some water with Bud, I might just have to suffer ;)

How about ecigs and coffee?

Any all-day laptop users (from home) with coffee and cigs (soon to be ecigs) going all day long?

I don't like beer, lol, so that won't do.

Water isn't much fun either.

As for dry mouth, Sjogren's is an auto-immune condition that dries you out all over anyway, inside and out. There's a company that makes "saliva substitute lozenges" especially for this condition, called SALIX.

But you don't have to have Sjogren's to benefit from the products.

They are not large like a lozenge, but small and have a tart citrus taste that makes your mouth water.

Might help! Glad I have some on hand already... will probably need them more often when the SD arrives...

Found a link... evidently they changed the name to SALIVA-SURE: [this totally irks -- I had to remove the link to the product...grrrr]

Here's another place to get the lozenges, less expensive, in Missouri: [you'll have to find it yourself... had to delete this one too. Crazy rule if I ever heard of one... can't even be helpful :( ]

Those are more "natural" but there are regular Walgreen/Walmart-type "saliva stimulant" products from sprays to RX's. Not that you want to go that far, but it's an alternative idea for dealing with the dry-mouth from vaping. For more ideas, just google Sjogren's saliva products, reviews, forums, etc. That's where you'll find people who know everything about dry mouth/throat.
