Recently, vaping started feeling a bit rough on my throat, and I'm trying to find out what's causing it.

I did have a cold, but that's all gone, and it started after the cold instead of during it.

My juices do have 50-70% PG, but I haven't been sensitive to them before.

I do notice that higher resistance atomizers (like 1.5 ohm dual coils) seem to trouble me less than lower resistance (I normally use 1.8-2.1 cartos and atties).

The voltage I vape at has not changed, but I did seem to increase volume of vapor with my few recent toys.

Any ideas?

Thank you!

Extra vapor may push you over the threshold of noticeable irritation, if nothing else has changed. That's more nicotine, PG, and whatever other irritants you may have in your juice.

Could also likely be that the extra vapor is from a hotter vape, which may be slightly overheating your juice, making it harsh.

Vaping at a lower voltage would likely help either of those cases, I imagine.

I've been noticing since I've started doing this a slight feeling of constantly needing to clear my throat after vaping. Usually when I stop at night and go to sleep I wake up fine untill I take a few more puffs then I get that feeling back. It doesnt feel sore or hurt in anyway It just feels like I need to hock a loogie lol This is with a 70/30 mix so I might try a 50/50 to cut the pg a little and up the vg. I've only been vaping a month so I'm still trying to figure out the borderlines of my sensitivities to pg, vg and nic levels.
