Before I say anything, I've already read the thread for common symptoms of switching to vaping. (Tried to link to it but I can't, not up to 15 posts yet)

In any case, I've been vaping for a full week now. :D Hell yes. I've been enjoying it a lot, but maybe too much. I've had a sore throat for a few days now, around 3. Hard to swallow and what not. My question is, if you're new to vaping, have you been having the same problem as well? And also, if you have been vaping for a while, have you experienced the same problem? How long did it last for?

Finally, could this be happening because I've been recklessly using my PV? That could be wrong usage or wrong dosage I suppose.

This is pretty common for new vapers...It was for me anyway. Actually it stuck with me for quite awhile.

I found that switching for awhile to vg instead of pg liquid helped me quite a bit.

Then later on, i went back to pg liquid and i havent had a severe sore throat again.

I suggest lowering your pg in your juice, adding vg or going to all vg for a little while.

Hope this helps

Yes I should have mentioned this... I have been vaping 100% VG that I got from Vermont Vapor. Just today I've received my 100% PG from Tasty Vapor, so I'm 100% it's not from an allergic reaction to PG.

Pokai I do drink a lot of water, 1.5L bottle a day or more, but I guess more couldn't hurt :) And lowering the nic might do it for me, with the PG I got today(12mg), I made a 25% VG(20mg) and 75% PG.

I think the sore throat is more because of the newness to the vape. But the vg will help with that..or at least that's my experience.

You may not have a reaction per say to any of it...but i think the pg is more irritating to the throat at first.

Try an experiment...vape the pg one day....see how it goes...then the next day try the all vg..and see how your throat feels after.

I found that a mixture of both is the best for me...but I do occasionally still have a sore throat...its probably because i vape pretty constant at times.

Good luck ! Keep us informed :) and..ask plenty of questions....we all are here to help if we can.

Sore throat comes from both stopping to smoke and the fact that both PG and VG tend dry out your throat. There isn't much you can do about the first (but it's going to go away on its own), but do drink more fluids, doesn't really matter which (although carbonated drinks tend to irritate your throat), just drink.

Been vaping 4/5 days now, On 2nd day had a mouthful of ulcers and sore throat. This was with using the supplied low nic carts, switched to zero nic juice and seems alot better.

I gave up analogs 3 months ago (with patches) but still have a strong urge to go back to them so I thought I'd try vaping. Just the physical act of drawing on the ecig helps to break the habit of wanting an analog. Pretty sure it's too much nic in the juice that caused me the trouble. Try cutting the mg down.

Cheers

Shaun
