I did maybe just a bit in the beginning. Kinda like thumb aerobics, I guess, or more like thumb weight presses. :D I'm a righty who uses my left to vape.

Do you have a button cover? Also, listen for the firing by holding it up to your ear. You may be pressing a tad too hard. After some use, your button will seem to ease up a bit, too.

That's the sweet side affect of having a VV grand - you can rotate mods with different button locations to avoid any issues.

I also notice I vape about 3 times more than I smoked. If what the cigalikes companies said was true about one pre filled carto equalling something like 3 packs of cigs (or whatever bullsh_it they said) I am up to nearly a carton per day. :)

Agree but 2 things to keep in mind; I can easily afford the vaping, I diy also, compared to cigarettes and I don't have the same health concerns. So all in all I'll keep vaping.

Usually no problem. But do notice when the bottle is 1/2 or less full.

I use either hand. Sometimes my thumb and sometimes my finger.

Some bottles are a tougher plastic and just require more pressure. They usually break in and become easier.

Have heard that you can boil them to make them softer. Not tried that though.

I use different fingers, both hands. May be more awkward or impossible, though, with larger hands and smaller REOs. Just did a squonk without thinking about it, Mini 2.0, with smaller squonk hole than 2.1. Used middle finger. Those two are the least arthritic and less prone to spasms, both hands. Guess I haven't used those enough. :D

As said, with use bottles do soften. I have some in use for nearly 3 yrs. They are much easier to squonk. I've done a few bottles, soak in near boiling water, then manipulating/massaging while still hot. Repeat several times.

Cool! I was sorta wondering how long they'd last. TY Alice!

My most used REO is Silver Anodized Mini 1.0 from when Robert first released them. Not sure how long ago that was. Original bottles are rarely separated from their own REO and our juice flavor range is very narrow. I have in use, in REOs, some bottles that sample juices came in from 2010. That Mini still has the original small tubing and original cap and o-ring!!!! As far as cap o-rings go we have always used pretty benign juices, those that aren't hard on o-rings as some can be. As a matter of fact, I've never had any tubes split and half of my metal REOs going back to mid 2010 still have the small tubes. (Sorry to bring this up again but that's why I was so confounded that a small tube split on a lightly used REO I sent to someone. Perhaps tube splitting is one reason Robert switched to fatter tubes. I don't know. But that is totally outside of my experience using REOs for going on three years. Having used silicon in many applications since it became available for purchase by public, especially outside weather caulking in extreme environment, extreme sun UV and extreme heat, it has been my experience that silicone has a very slow breakdown rate in most uses. I can't spesk to industrial use or automobile applications, though. I do have quite a bit of experience using silicon in pool/spa applications for many years in high pressure applictions and exposed to caustic materials and sometimes extreme UV and the durability and longevity of it still amazes me.)

Anyone else getting a sore thumb, as in the joint from squonking all day? I switch hands but for some reason I always want to use my left hand and I am not a lefty. Man I have reached vape nirvana and I'm still whining!!

I use my pointer finger. No soreness to date.

you can squonk with your thumb??? i can't even imagine how to do that. sounds painful...

now, the button-that's another story. within a few days of getting my Grand, my thumb was killing me. and then i stumbled upon a post that mentioned the button covers. what a difference!

but within a few days of getting the covers, my button started locking up. "dang. guess i shouldn't have bought from the classies. gotta send it in for repair". it would then magically fix itself, then start locking up again. so then i stumbled upon a post about the locking feature. huh? didn't even know that it had that feature. not mentioned on the website as far as i could see.

so now, i'm happily stumbling my way on the road to ReoVille, wondering what i'll stumble upon next...

Ya...when they come new, they have a user manual in the box with them. But that's okay...for future reference, you can find the user manuals here. :)

That is my primary method of squonking (using my thumb). Works fine, last long time.

As has been mentioned in other forums, I have learned the method of testing/setting the lock with my thumb just prior to pressing the fire button.
