I agree with seeing a doc, but I would make it the dentist. One thing that smoking can do as well is to hide problems occurring in the mouth. It stops symptoms of some dental issues from appearing. When you quit smoking, there is no longer that substance holding any signs at bay. Several on ECF have had some gum issues arise after switching and this was what their dentists had informed them of. So not only did switching add time to their life, but it saved their teeth as well.

Definitely have her consult with her dentist.
