I have been vaping for a bit over 3 weeks now and on my last day of the first full week of only vaping with no cigarettes. 2 days ago i started feeling kindof crappy. Light headed, kindof nauseous and this really dry painful cough. Its not a productive cough.

You ever had one of those dry coughs usually in the winter where you cant shake it unless you smoke a cigarette? its like that. its keeping me up at night.

Im getting a few pimples too.. not happy about that lol

Im mostly vaping KBV 70% PG or Mrs t's which is mostly VG.

Not blaming it on vaping just wondering if its a cold, detox side effects or could be the vape?

Light headed and nauseous could be too much nicotine. Can you try lowering the nic level and see if that helps?

Drink lots of water - that will help with the pimples, among other things. It might help the cough, too.

Also, make sure you're putting lots of moisturizer on your skin. I know it sounds counterproductive for zits, but if you use any kind of cleanser or zit cream, you're drying out your skin quite a bit and that can make break-outs worse. If I see a pimple starting, I can usually forestall a break-out by putting on my usual moisturizer more often.

And take heart! I didn't get quit zits, but I did undergo some extra dry skin on my face. After a couple of weeks of daily exfoliating using a washcloth during that dry phase, now my skin texture the past few weeks has been smoother and better than ever. Those smokey toxins have to get out somehow!

Drink lots of water!

Dry skin, too much nic makes me nauseous and .....y, if I do a lot of long lung hits I get a cough. Never coughed as a smoker:) If your cough is painful and doesn't ease off if you reduce nic and lung hits, see a doc. That's the nurse part of me. Could be totally unrelated to vaping.

tattoogirl, you may have had the "quitter's flu."

When I switched to vaping, I came down with what I thought was the flu: I was somewhat "achey" and really congested with what was an unproductive cough at first. I took my temperature several times and found it was normal, to my surprise. Finally, the congestion and the achey feeling went away, and the cough turned productive: the "lung oysters" I hawked up were truly impressive.

The lightheadedness and nausea are almost certainly a mild nicotine overdose. I suggest you cut back on your vaping or reduce the nicotine percentage of your eliquid or both. I started at 24 mg., switched to 12 or 18 mg. for a few weeks, then switched back to a combination of 18 and 24 mg. concentrations.
