So, I just got a brand new 402 automatic battery (stainless steel if that matters). I'm unpacking it, and while doing so, I see the LED keeps lighting up.

It was wrapped up in two (opposite direction) unsealed blue plastic wrappers (the kind cartridges come in to keep them air tight), then some bubble wrap and it was shipped in a bubble wrap package.

I take it out complete and look at it in wonderment as to why the LED kept lighting...and then with the slightest touch in my hand, it activated again. I give it a few love taps to see if it continues to light up -- it does. Err. Yikes.

I blew on it...it lit up. I blew on it even gentler, it lit up. SUPER sensitive.

Mind you, this is all without any atomizer attached, just the battery, all by its self.

My first though: Perhaps the battery is in such a low state, and so I plugged it in...and now its charging, and that's where it will be for the next 8 or so hours. -- Now that I'm thinking about it more, this doesn't make sense. It still needs a full charge though :)

Has anyone encountered something like this before? Heard of it happening? Is this a sign of a bad battery? I want to be able to go out with it, and it seems even if its in my PCC, it will get enough vibration that the thing will activate so often that it will never maintain a charge.

Thanks for anyone's help!

Ok, all charged up...

A few light ups while screwing in the atomizer and attaching the cartridge.

Took a drag, and afterward, it continued to sizzle and crackle longer than normal...with the battery illuminated. About a second and a half instead of the normal quarter of a second.

My three other batteries do not do this - they only stay active about the .25 seconds.

Is this a bad battery? sensor? Any fix to this? or should I contact the store I bought it from?
