Sounds like a bad idea... but is it?

I was considering spray painting my kanger protank 2, specifically the lower portion and the part above the glass tube. of course i wouldn't be painting the drip tip, glass, or the lower screw bottom, I would also mask off the internals of the tank. Has anyone ever done this? Of course there is always that concern of inhaling some of the dangerous chemicals in spray paint, or it coming off on the users hands. If not, is there any "colorful" tank that I can buy that is compatible with kanger coils?

I personally would look into high temp paints. Non spray paint would be the best options. Those parts would get pretty hot with continuous use and could peel and chip. which can end up ruining the look you are going for. Im not sure on what exactly you would need to get this sort of task done but any hobby forum/store will be of great help.

are there any tanks that i can look into, which coils are semi rebuildable (like the protank 2), or entirely rebuildable (but with a similar coil system) which have a bit more of a color option?

use high temp paint, clear coat will help with texture and longevity of paint, don't paint anything that will come in contact with juice and you should be fine. The coil base wouldn't produce enough heat to cause paint problems for most high temp paints (500+ degrees)

I was thinking about something similar, but not for color... I like the feel of the rubberized coating on the batt that come with my Ego. I was thinking about this: Plasti Dip Protective Coating Products | Plasti Dip Protective Coating Products | Rubber Dip Coating
Of course like you and others said, keep it out of the internals. Heat shouldn`t be an issue either. I`ve used this on various pliers & other tools and was no way affected by heat.

Im pretty sure they sell some sort of enamel paint, but I would not do it tbh.
