Spare battery and wire gauge

Whats the best way to transport (carry) a spare battery such as a 14500? For 3.7v box mod.

Also, I've noticed on a great number of the mod pictures that many are using a thicker gauge wire then is provided with a bat box such as those from MV. What are most of you using and do you also re-wire the master on/off switch?

I would think a pill fob would be good for the extra battery. If you go with aluminum though, make sure
to put a piece of rubber in one end to keep the battery from making contact on both ends.
