Sparkplug users...battery suggestion/question

So, I cracked down and ordered a Sparkplug kit with the Thermo (extension) tube. I noticed that The SP uses 16340's which are cr123's if I'm not mistaken. Well...I was thinking, If the Thermo tube accepts 2 16340's...It will accept a single 18650, you can grab an Ultrafire 3.7v 3000mah 18650...and you can vape for days! Or is this just wishful thinking on my part? Please correct me if I'm mistaken.

Well, the 18650 is gonna have a larger diameter than the 16340. It may or may not fit the tube, depending on how tight the 16340s fit.

Also,the 18650 will probably be a bit shorter than 2 of the 16340's.

I'll see when it gets here then...hopefully it will work, a 16340 is about 16mm in diameter, the 18650 is around 18mm...hopefully they come with 2mm of play. Are the batteries completely snug? It's mostly wishfull thinking since I ordered a bunch of Ultrafire 3000mah 18650's thinking they would work with my Provari...oh well!

So how did it work out - is the 18650 shoehorned in right now? And how do you like the sparkplug?

The Thermo tube will accept a single 17670, but I am pretty sure not an 18650

Thanks! I really want to focus on 18650 to use the 5v NIMH. This would have been the cheapest way.

Nope, no luck! Doesn't fit, it was wishfull thinking. I really don't use the Sparkplug that much, I just bought it because it was cheap. The times I have used it, wasn't anything special...esp @ 3v. I just ordered some 3.7V cr123's...I'll see if that helps a little.

Thanks! I really want to focus on 18650 to use the 5v NIMH. This would have been the cheapest way.

The 5.0v ni-mh fits. It is 17650 sized.

Have a couple of UltraFire 17670's (3.7) that are just a tad too short in the thermo.
Are there any spacers available so i can use these in thermo????

There sure are. Several other places carry them, too, but that's where I got mine.
