Does anyone know if companies are able to adjust the resistance of an atomizer that they sell by special request? for example: lets say they have a certain atomizer that you like available in 2ohm and 3ohm, but you would like to try it at 4ohm for a 5v device? is that something they would easily be able to do?

Keep in mind, I'm not asking where I can get this done. I have a specific atty in mind from a specific website. I'm just not very familiar with how these things are made, and if a request like this is doable or not.

so, is this a reasonable request, and has anybody every successfully had this done by a company? Thanks!

I've never heard of anyone being able to special request a change in ohms. I think most vendors get their goods from China etc..., so they are what they are, and there's no changing it. You could always check out the Modding forum...maybe you could learn how to make your own attys at whatever ohm you want.

+1 for avidvapor. The custom spec hybrids can be hand made to order so you would need to specify the request. At 5 volts, I'm happy with 3.0 ohm so I have no need to order anything but standard inventory. The amount of coil wraps around the wicking material and the guage dictate the resistance in ohms so it would be feasible if the vendor you're looking at is offering that option.

The other option is rebuildables like the genesis, Odysseus, bulli and alike.
