I came up with this idea a few weeks ago, and slowly but surely worked through making it happen. For those who may not recognize the starting piece it is a Sub woofer basket also called a frame. I started with that and then using cardboard created some design idea's till I got to what I thought would go well and flow the best and here is the process from start to finish.

Starting from this.

Here you see the sub frame completed, which is the bottom base, some wiring (for show), and the top plate which the bottom section that holds juice will mount to.

And here are the finished pictures.

Overall I love the way it came out, but I have a TON of hours into it, I used a Vermont Maple stain and 3 coats of polyurethane on the wood portions.

I've tried selling stands but apparently mine aren't good enough to buy. I have only made 2 to sell a small one and this one, granted this one has MUCH more time involved than the smaller one, but it's also a lot more complicated.

I see guys/gals selling stands on vape groups on fb that are miles easier to make and look (imo) very cheap in the fashion they are painted, I guess people want CHEAP rather than quality these days.

Well doesn't matter if I can't sell em I will just find someone I know who vapes give them the smaller one and keep this one for myself along with the triple level one I made myself a while ago.

And thanks for all the compliments!

That is quite fantastic sir!!
I'm curious what you use to do your holes and have them come out with a flat bottom? I'm not much of a woodworker, matter of fact welding used to be my trade so quite the opposite, but I did whip out a small piece of wood one day and made some holes in it with some paddle bits just to put some things in and the holes were terrible.

I have a drill press so using these makes it really easy, however you could do it with a drill a steady hand and patience I suppose.

I think that stand is brilliant and shows some great imagination.

For greyscale, I would suggest a forstner bit that any hardwood supply store should carry. The drill press helps for certain but a forstner bit beats a spade bit hands down.
