Spheroid Issues

Hi guys, I have been messing with this spheroid for 2 weeks and every time I use it I taste burn tast after a few pulls, if I wait it will start up again, is that just how it is?
Anyone else with a spheroid have this issue? How to I correct it?

Not direct to your issue but I use cotton and a micro coil and never had an issue. If you google "GP spheroid build", there is an amazing pictorial link that pops up as one of the first links. I think it's on UK Vapers. It may also show a silica wick.

Yea, I followed the direction the Vaporart sudjested.
I went from my mini nautlis BVC that I really love actually but when I heard of the premium flavor the spheroid is said to offer I had to have it. But the only flavor change I notice is nasty silica wick. Hoping a fellow spheroid owner can help me.

Yea, I build it exactly like that, went very smoothly, just the flavor sucks after a bunch of pulls, not too burnt but deffintly a whicky taste, might just be how silica and the spheroid is?

You use cotton? Ok, ill give that a try. Is there a reason you don't use the silica? Were you having similar problems that im having. I notice if I don't vape too quickly it is ok....but I kinda like to vape some what rapidly and my mini Naut. BVC handles it fine, the more you suck the more it wicks. But I am having a little better luck with the spheroid today, I think because the wick just soaked all night, hopefully it doesn't start to dry out again because I do like this thing.

I don't own a spheroid but do a lot of rebuilding and building. What you are describing seems to be what happens when the coil is too tightly wound on a silica wick, or any wick for that matter. Try wrapping the coil a little looser than you are using at the moment and see what that does.

Personally, I'd suggest rayon for a wick rather than silica or cotton, but that is all personal preference.

That's what drills and bits are for, LOL. Just go rally slow if you try it and it's stainless steel.

Thinking a little more about this, if you're putting the wick in after the coil is wound you are not getting good contact between the coil and the wick. Try wrapping directly on the wick and use a needle, sewing needle, to stabilize things as you wrap. Don't pull the wire tight, just snug, as you wrap. Basically, the coil needs to be in contact with the wick for proper operation.

You also don't mention the diameter of the coil. That diameter can govern the "need for liquid" and if the wick material isn't up to the job, you'll get dry hits like you are describing.
