So coupule of days ago i spilled about 5 ml of 12 mg/ml liquid. I haven't changed it and today I'm feeling kinda ill. Nothing too serious, you know, just like a cold. This been going on since 3 days ago I started feeling bad. And my question is: Is it possible that it's caused by a nicotine poisoning. For the past 3/4 days I've been spending a lot of time in my bed. How volalite is nicotine in e-liquids? I also treated the plum with soap to get rid of the annoying smell. Am i safe or should i go to the hospital. I'd really like a fast anwser, since I'm freaking out, as I know that it might be fatal.

Ok so you spilled about 5ml of 12 mg juice? The symptoms, if any, of nicotine sickness is nausea and/or dizzyness. All you need to do is eat a little and drink plenty of water. You aren't going to die from 12mg.

If you feel like you have a cold, then you probably have one. And this has nothing to do with your spilled liquid.

Yeah, but if let's say 60 mg is actually evaporating, it could possibly cause a poisoning. It didn't obviously evaporate all at once, and/or I didn't inhale it all at once. But it could theoreticly cause the sickness, right? I'm still aware that an usuall cold is probably more probable, yet I'm very insecure about it.
    Talking about two different things..

Juice = made of vg, pg, nic and flavoring.

Juice may take time to evaporate (without applying heat)..

Not a chemist.. but nic does lessen in strength if left airing out by itself.

With pg and vg (makes it longer).

I inhale about 9ml of 12mg every daily so if you are already a nicotine vaper, it really can't have much, if any, effect. Perhaps some vitamin c could help the cold clear up though!

Yeah, but dosen't the vg and pg separate from nic if it's in a mattress or something similar to it?
    No... Not how it works..

Your body may/can absorb the nicotine via skin.. but it's very low..

We are not talking about pure nicotine or high amount. it's diluted ..

If you really worried.. wash the sheets... Take a shower.. ;)

    If your symptoms doesn't change..see a doctor.
