I have a question. Would a spring in say a spring loaded 510 connection become heated in a mod? I seem to have a problem with my magneto clone in the 510 connection. It no longer makes contact with anything I put in it and seems like the sping is stuck down. Just got me thinking why would the spring not heat up? Is it because the the coil has lower resistance so it would heat that first?

This seems really odd. Why would it have a spring in the positive pin? Anyways, it would be helpful if you could post a picture of the underside of the pin, where it contacts the positive end of the battery. Also the top side where the 510 connection is. Does it seem possible to use some kind of pointed tool to pop the pin back up? Or even better, to disassemble the whole top cap? Unfortunately it can take some work to get some of these cheap clones working well or working at all, and keep them working. Even the expensive ones need occasional maintenance, but they are generally easier to work on.

Yeah ^^^^ This. Try and push the pin back up. Mine is adjustable with a flat head screwdriver. Some pics would help too. :)

The magneto should have no springs in it. Its should also have a magnet switch. That is where I lose connection most often. Take the bottom off and there is a magnet encased in white delrin. Turn it counter-clockwise until it is almost flush with the edge of the battery tube. Then put the switch back on. That upper magnet will sometime turn a little when changing batteries. Make a habit of changing batteries by unscrewing the topcap.

I can't post a photo because I gave it back to the shop. But there is a spring in the top cap that self adjust according to what you screw into it. The flat dead screw you are refering to is not really an adjustment as you can only back it out or set the center pin lower. Even if it is pulled up it falls back down until it makes contact with the spring. When it finally makes contact it is too low to make contact with any atomizer.
