Has anyone else been having trouble with spit back. I'm running a sub tank mini 1.2 replacement coil not that matters because I get spit back from no matter what. Anyway at 18, 19 watts. If anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them. I thought about getting some pipe screens and trying that out. I'll post and let you all know how it goes. But would like to hear any suggestions. Sincerely. Cte72 :)

Sometimes I get lot of popping when my wicks are not fully saturated and partially dry.

Try taking a few draws with out firing about 3 or 4 with air flow closed down quite low---------this will bring in a good amount of ejuice

and wet your coil-----and try turning down your wattage slowly and then check again for popping/spitting.

Just a thought...

Try the above advice... also, pipe screen with a standard hole puncher makes a perfect sized spitback screen... put it between the bottom of the drip tip and where the tip seats. Works great. Cheap, too.
Now that is an astonishingly brilliant idea. I am highly annoyed I didn't think of it, and you should be aware I just stole it :)

All's fair in vaping... be my guest!
I hang here a lot in New Members, as I am sure you know. Spitback is a common complaint. And that just got added to my arsenal... Just a thought however, lest the mods take a dim view. We probably ought not to call that a "pipe screen" in favor of "Genesis wick" or something :censored:

If you mean the hot spats off the coil, I use a knucklehead driptip, because I always get the hot spats from RDAs. The hot juice shoots straight upward, the vapor comes around the bend -- but the hot spats don't.

Mesh wicking works OK, too. I find it a bit restrictive to airflow, though. Pipe screening is usually a little cheaper, too. You can probably find mesh in the right density, though... I tend to just buy a pack of pipe screen at a local tobacco shop while I'm shopping for cigars and/or pipe tobacco to macerate and extract concentrate from. It's cheap and a pack lasts forever. I tend to replace the piece of screen when I change coils.

Good thinking: genny wick is like 300 or 400 mesh; that's too tight.

What does it do to you?

Feels like a hairball in my chest that I *cannot* cough up no matter how I try; my asthma goes into double overdrive, with wheezing, breathlessness, waking up from a sound sleep unable to breathe... fun stuff like that. I was at 82%-84% for a long time, but i got all this mucus around my vocal cords, made me permanently hoarse. At 85% it's not too bad, as long as i stay well hydrated.
