Oh no!!! Unscrew the top cap and take off the bottom cap and let it dry completely before you try to use it. Toss the batteries that were in it. It may surprise us all and come back to life after it dries!

when mine fell in water, I immediately pulled the batteries, and flushed water through it (it fell in nasty water)
after 2 hours of drying in front of a vent, with fresh batteries, and a new carto, it fired right up.

I read another post about dipping the PV in alcohol and then storing in dry rice. Not sure about the alcohol dip but I've seen other recommendations about the rice for wet cellphones and ipods.

Definitely soak it in alcohol (it's a drying agent) upside down and make sure it covers the PCB. Then let it dry overnight.
I'm hopeful for a full recovery. It only sat for an instant, and I immediately recovered it, dropped the batts out, dried it off as best I could, and put it in a bag of rice. I'd never heard of the alcohol use before.
It's my favorite device but it can definitely ride the bench for a few days.

Good you did not try to turn it on !! the other thing is pull the top cap and expose the electronics , then use a blow dryer on lOW heat there is a black cover on the IC in there , this is where the water will not want to dry so maybe some heat will help , BUT 2 days in rice should suck out the water without a dryer I think >?? we will see.
Definitely a bad day!! Buzz why don't these float?! I thought they were safe! What happens if they take a dive off the Hoover dam? They float to the top right? Guess I'll have to see brb... Wait that's covered under warranty right?

That would be me Bov. It was my Infinity and it was fine. Batteries too.
The IPro is working just fine. Haven't tried the batteries that were in it when it took its swim - not sure if I'm going to.
