There was a pic of him not long ago looking pretty bad...really bad, in a wheelchair, on oxygen. It said he had COPD, saying "I quit smoking 30 yrs ago, not soon enough" telling people to quit, etc...
So on another forum elsewhere I saw this....he's trying to get people not to vape. WTH? How many people will quit the cigs because of vaping and avoid what happened to him?

Gonna try to post the link here

Thanks for posting that. I could really care less what "Spock" thinks about e cigs, though of course I'm sorry he's suffering with COPD. It is interesting to read all the responses to his tweet. Seems it's about roughly halved between defenders of vaping, and criticism of it based on bad information. A good snapshot of the debate, I guess.

I'm actually somewhat pleased at the # of defenders responding to his baseless claims.

I don't have a Twitter account and didn't want to take the time to create one. Someone who does have an account should counter the false claims and provide a link to CASAA for some real up-to-date info on e-cigarettes.

Really, lots of folks ARE challenging him, though not with the CASAA info that I've seen. Even if you click on some of the other naysayer replies he's gotten, a lot of people are calling B.S. on their negative claims. Like I said, I'm actually impressed that the vapers are out in full force.

Perhaps i should make an twitter account, just to be able to reply to such incompetent claims.

LOL, I've GOT a twitter account that I've used twice in 6 years until tonight. I did reply to some knuckle-dragging comments on there, but I have no idea if the twits showed up where they were supposed to. (and it's not that I'm a stranger to technology... I design databases and websites... just think the whole social media thing is a massive default of personal privacy)

It's "tweets" not "twits," but I find your version oddly appropriate for the occasion. :D
