ok, so..... the other night i was doing my weekly cleaning on my provari (i am not the original owner) and as always i took everything apart, wiped it all down, alcohol q-tip in the atty well, well when i went to take the spring out to clean under it, the spring came out fine, but would not go back in like it usually does. in my anger getting the spring back in.... it got mangled a little. this was 3 days ago, i got the spring back in finally and everything is working as intended as far as i can tell. im gonna order a new spring just in case, but am i in any danger if i keep using this one? it's still springy... just a little deformed.. i know, it was stupid, but live and learn. getting the spring back in the extended cap is such a PITA im not gonna do it any more after i get the new spring in.

That spring should be fine, as long as your battery is not shorting out or drain in unusual ways. Ive use warped springs on other devices without a problem. But its always good to have a backup spring in case ;)
Heres a spring trick to help with installing on the extension cap. Place the spring on top of the end cap spring hole, with a pencil eraser end press thetop of the spring down and it will snap in place. And will not be loose :)
