I was just wondering if anyone knows if/where I can buy a spring loaded 510 connector? I am designing an APV, and I want it to be able to accept all toppers without having to do any type of manual adjustment on either the topper's or the APV's center post.

Here is an example of exactly what I'm talking about
Spring Loaded 510 connector

In this particular version, the whole top cap, which includes the 510 threads, the ego threads, and the beauty ring threads, as well as the spring loaded center pin is all one unit. You can see in the picture below where the arrow is pointing to the seam, that is the top cap

The pictures above are both of the Seven22 mod. I have a Sigelei Legend which uses the EXACT same top cap/spring loaded 510 connector. As far as I know Sigelei and the company that makes the Seven22 mod are not affiliated, which suggests that they are both buying these spring loaded 510 conenctors from a single supplier.

I would like to get one, or something similar for the APV I'm designing, but don't know where to look.

I'm also looking for a spring loaded 510 connection too, since that seems easiest. KushSmoka420, where did you get yours? I got a Vamo and hate the "thread in carefully and leave a gap" thing. I don't need / want airflow through 510 connector.

I don't quite get why spring loaded pins have worse connection for sub ohm? Does the current go through the spring?

Why do some people prefer a floating pin? How does that work, pull it out by hand? Isn't that worse than spring loaded? Or is floating pin good for mechanical mods only because they get pushed by the battery spring?

I wonder if the replaceable eVic supreme 510 connector will be a good source for DIY mods.

    floating pin =/= spring loaded

Apparently the M16 top cap it is spring loaded after all. Looks very sturdy but it's just rather bulky.

These caps are spring loaded 510 to eGo Adapter with Well

IIRC, these caps are spring loaded, but it's the bottom pin, not the one that counts. They're made to screw into an existing 510 connection; the bottom (spring loaded) pin ensures connection with the host, but does not do anything on the atty side.

Oh I kind of hoped it was one single piece of brass so it's floating AND spring loaded at the same time. So the battery spring additionally pushes the whole center pin up.

PS: I think from the picture we can clearly see the top part is the 510 center pin and that is being "pushed out" away from the delrin insulator on the inside.
