I don't have a volt meter to check the voltage output of either of my GGs, but I feel like they're not working up to par. When I run it at 3.7v w/ a freshly charged battery and NO spring, it's producing way more vapor. So I figure that my spring is the issue. Can someone give me a hand with instructions on cleaning it? I've already tried wiping it down with a coarse cloth to no avail :/

I have read you could sand it a little (to clean it and improve performace). I haven't had problems with mine so I am not sure of what kind of sand paper you should use, but I assume you should do it with a very fine sand paper, you do not want to wear it. :)

Check this thread:

and this Imeo's post (#12) on that thread:

I felt the same way you are feeling initially when I received my ssggts regarding getting better performance using the post only without the original spring. Performance increased when I sanded and cleaned the spring but it still didn't seem as good as when using only the post. I wanted to use the spring for protection but I still wanted maximum performance.

Dspin suggested I try the Fuse Kit Upgrade... I'm glad that I did and I suggest it to everyone. With two springs installed in the fuse, I feel that it's hitting pretty much just as good as when using only the post without the original spring. The Fuse Kit also has the added benefit of providing a better feel for how much to tighten the telescope. I think you would like it... Just my :2c:
