Mac, I did some booties for the hospital to give to new moms. In the Military they often don't have family around so it's nice to get a little something to take home. I used to crochet boys booties that looked like basketball shoes (Hi Tops) and baby girls shoes that looked like mary Janes with a tiny pearl button..not advisable now I guess.

But my favorite thing to crochet was a tube that fit around a small (short) bottle then add two elephant ears to the sides.
The bottom had two round crocheted balls about the size of a tennis ball.
You put the crocheted elephant on the nipple end of the bottle (the nipple forms the trunk) and a baby can lay in your arms and drink..when the baby lets go of the nipple the bottle will rock back and not drip all over baby. That leaves a hand free for mom!

Here's a picture of an old one, but the nipple for the bottle is long gone (I just used it as a form.) Also there are no instructions as I made this up for my 1st grandson..G'ma couldn't cook and clean while feeding him!

Just hit a bump in the privacy fence.
As I said, the privacy fence is going up to hide my neighbors junk. Instead of having our fence and a gap and then his fence, we asked neighbor if we could put ours right up against his. So, since it officially will be on my neighbors land, he signed an Easement so it will remain our fence. Then we got Julie out here to mark the area and neighbor decided he didn’t want fence against fence, and since his wire fence is seeing its better days, he wants to take it down so we can put up our fence in its place.
No problem with that except now we have to wait for him to take down his fence. Keep your fingers crossed---I’m hoping to catch neighbor and get it done next weekend.
Otherwise, we will have to have Julie out here again!!!

The fence is up. One side is painted (two coats). The other side got one coat before my daughter showed up. Now that she is gone, I"m waiting for a sort of cool day.
In the mean time, when shade is available, I'm redoing some landscaping. While doing that, I've convinced RW that we need to setup a concrete divider---was using landscaping post but they started rotting too fast and was developing white mold.:(
This, of course, has to wait until the deck is done for the pool so it might get carried over to next year.
 I'm planning next year all ready!!!
