Sci- what box is that?

It's this one. https://www.allelectronics.com/inde...92a403b2f4a37a59384e7ab28f02be1";i:1;s:0:"";} If you look at their others, make sure it's not one with a metal lid(they have a few with those). I've ordered from them & was happy.:)

I've always wondered what the third terminal on the battery is used for - I assumed some sort of ground.... You've found no use for it?

What I've read so far is that cameras use it to communicate with the battery. Something about charging voltages. I've haven't been able to get in depth on it yet. I'm off tomorrow, so can do some research on it.

The vapor gets real weak around 3.3v - 3.1v, so that's when I put it on the charger. No sense in taking chances. I don't know the actual current output, my multimeter only goes up to 200ma. There is a setting for 10A, but I've never got that to work correctly.

On a lot of multimeter when using the 10A setting you've got to put one of the probe on another place. if it aint working open your multimeter and check the fuse inside.

I don't completely understand. "Put one of the probes in another place"? I know you have to plug the probe into a different place on the multimeter, is that what you are talking about? I'll look at the fuse, but I haven't checked anything over a couple of Amps.
Thanks.

maybe theres a tiny battery indicator lcd that can be integrated to the box to show batt levels?

I think you always do an awesome job modding and I have to agree...cleanest (non-mechanical) mod on ECF!

Great job! I look forward to what you come up with w/the batt monitor idea!

Thank you. I've got a PCC that has an LCD on it. I may see about using it & the charger. I've also been working with some circuits to use with LEDs.

Vap3rLov3r, thanks.

i have been putting a lot of thought into square bats, they fit in mod boxes nice and they are pretty much the most available bats in the world. There in every psp, every nintendo ds, ever cellphone on the planet and they come in nice mah ranges too. Most are 3.7 volts too.

Just make sure the current output is high enough(Amps, not mAh). If they don't produce enough current, they won't create any vapor.
